Get fucking over it! These kids ain't soldiers and they certainly ain't veterans.

By the same token, those Japanese kids do not want to piss these Chinese kids off! There's more of them!

If it is based on the same survey (TL;DR) I am thinking about, the method about no opinion is at fault for some weird results.

The problem is not necessarily the kids but some of the older people who missed the war and filled up on propaganda:

Some of the kids are more open minded but it sure doesn't help with the party running WWII themed soap operas and other propaganda every day of the week.

The people who really fought in the war and know what it was like are mostly over and done with that crap, but they are now a tiny minority.

At the end of the day, I don't think the majority of Chinese people want to fight another war with Japan, but most people in all categories of the above will say that they don't like Japan (even though many of them will go there on vacation). In fact, IIRC Japan was the #1 over seas vacation spot for Mainland Chinese last year.

Take that for what it's worth! The Communist Chinese did shit all but propagandized the 100 Regiments. The Nationalist Chinese ... well, Monkey's Ass can't afford a General who can overthrow his incomptetence.
Sir, how about the claim that Nationalist troops tied down a large chunk of Japanese troops so they couldn't be deployed elsewhere?

Or is that an effect of occupational duties more than fighting the Nationalist troops?

Didn't Nationalist troops score some victories against Japanese?

I have to agree, CCP didn't do much of anything in the actual fight against Japanese.

More Japanese interests than anything else. They wanted/needed to knock China out of the war. They couldn't do it. But also CKS never viewed the Japanese as the main threat. He kept the best armies out of the war in anticipation to face the Communists later. It was only after Stillwell's threats that he released a few of his best divisions

More than a few. The IJA never ventured into Central China and not because they didn't tried.

As it turned out his threat assessment was right. Curious about your view on why the CPC was able to accomplish what the Japanese could not.

Wrong actually. The Saviour of China would have denied Mao all his support.

A possible reason why India gave such low favorability ratings to South Korea and Japan might be because people simply don't care much about these countries. A low positive rating does not necessarily mean a negative, it could also mean neutral. This poll reflects how many people in India simply don't have an opinion on most countries: http://www.globescan.com/news_archives/bbc06-3/#india

The white gap between positive and negative is consistently large for India in all those graphs.
