The system? ROSY has been around for a couple years - since about 2011 or so. The German Army bought its first 500 in 2013 and has been putting it on about any light vehicle you can find in Afghanistan. Since 2015 it's series standard on uparmoured trucks over here. And they're damn cheap too, a single launcher plus control system and 100 grenades is around USD 20,000.
It's standard enough that by now when Rheinmetall tries to sell its active defense systems it constructs scenarios in which ROSY on a vehicle was damaged and thus the ADS actually has to do its job...
For more videos see: https://www.rheinmetall-defence.com/....php#VideoRosy
As for the tests at Benning in March - they were announced a couple weeks ago.
