That's like doing a mizoram in iraq but who is deciding the mission objective? Obviously not india.

Difference is that mizoram was a strategic imperative while iraq isn't. And iraq mizoram population ratio is 33:1 perhaps much lesser if considering only ISIS controlled settlements but still requires awfully lot of resource.

From July 07 to June 08 there were plenty of Indians working in Iraq. (using just dates I was there, and admittedly just my observation from the perch I had at JBB) They might not have been an "Army" per se, but they certianly stood in place of Soldiers (in some cases), doing various and sundry support jobs. (Cooking, cleaning, maintenance jobs, etc.) I've always wondered what the total contribution Indian played if not officially, but unofficially with the labor pool it generated. The "Indian Contigent" could very well have outnumbered some of the Soldier contributions from some of the smaller coalition members.
