Around few weeks back there were reports that South-Eastern rebels took an IS-3 tank to major repair after it stayed 69 years as a war monument. Nobody then expected that this relict would ever be brought to a fight. Indeed this could only be a weapon of last resort for poorly armed rebels who lack means to fight waves of heavy armor of Ukrainian troops.

Yet recent news was that Is-3 was recently used by rebels at Slayansk against fortified checkpoint of Ukrainian Army. Looks like attack was successful and the old tank survived it.
It would be funny if not the fact that soldiers died on both sides during the attack. And looks like there would be more people dying there before civil war ends in South-Eastern Ukraine.
