    Part 3

'The Islamic State now governs its caliphate from the north central Syrian city of Raqqa, which was once a relatively westernized agricultural hub. As the State's power base, Raqqa is where it imposes its version of Sharia law throughout large swaths of Iraq and Syria.

The “Hisbah” are the new Sharia police. In the latest episode of The Islamic State, VICE News joins them on their daily patrols during Ramadan, and witnesses how they check on shops and scrutinize produce, while at the same time ensuring their strict rules on women’s appearances are adhered to.

We are also taken to an Islamic State prison and speak with inmates accused of abusing drugs and selling alcohol. There we learn firsthand of the prisoners’ punishments, and how they have since “rediscovered” their devotion to the Islamic faith since their incarceration — but are yet to be granted permission to declare their allegiance to the caliph, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.'

Islamic State militants now world's richest: experts | AFP | Oct 25 2014

The Islamic State has become the world's wealthiest terror group, earning tens of millions of dollars a month from illegal oil sales and ransoms, officials said today.

"We have no silver bullet, no secret weapon to empty ISIL's coffers overnight. This will be a sustained fight, and we are in the early stages," said undersecretary for terrorism and financial intelligence David Cohen.

The group's "primary funding tactics enable it today to generate tens of millions of dollars per month," Cohen said.

"Those tactics include the sale of stolen oil, the ransoming of kidnap victims, theft and extortion from the people it currently dominates, and, to a lesser extent, donations from supporters outside of Syria and Iraq."

Oil sales alone from captured refineries are allowing the militants to produce some 50,000 barrels a day from fields in Syria and Iraq, representing a daily income of about $1 million.

Cohen said IS was selling the oil "at substantially discounted prices to a variety of middlemen, including some from Turkey, who then transported the oil to be resold."

Oil has also been sold to Kurds in Iraq, and then resold to Turkey, as it has "tapped into a long-standing and deeply rooted black market connecting traders in and around the area."

"In a further indication of the Assad regime's depravity, it seems that the Syrian government has made an arrangement to purchase oil from ISIL," Cohen said, referring to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

It has also generated about USD 20 million through kidnappings, particularly of journalists and European hostages.

And it demands money from local businesses in cities and towns which it has captured through "a sophisticated extortion racket."

US airstrikes were having an effect on hindering the militants' ability to produce oil, and US sanctions would target those found buying illegal oil, Cohen said.

It would be interesting to have a real breakdown of their current funding.

Difficult to say with certainty. Figures are anywhere from a few hundred million to $2 billion. They sell oil for as low as $15 a barrel lots of middlemen get in and resell for a profit.

    Hello Dok,

Ever since I saw this post I've been struggling and trying to keep my mouth shut and let this so called scholarly summery fly and let it be but at the end I failed and decided to respond to it. Of course you know by now that Muslim scholars and apologists are masters of deception and could paint a Camel and present it as a Peacock in the market.

There are 24 articles in this summery which I believe I can debunk 21 of of them as fallacy, fabrication and no doubt I can provide reference and undeniable fact from Quran which those scholars will have difficulties to deny them Here we go:

    1 Executive Summary

1-It is forbidden in Islam to issue fatwas without all the necessary learning requirements. Even then fatwas must follow Islamic legal theory as defined in the Classical texts. It is also forbidden to cite a portion of a verse from the Qur’an— or part of a verse — to derive a rulingwithout looking at everything that the Qur’an and Hadith teach related to that matter. In other words, there are strict subjective and objective prerequisites for fatwas, and one cannot ‘cherry
    - pick’ Qur’anic verses for legal arguments without considering the entire Qur’an and Hadith
Not true. Every single verse in Quran is independent of the others, that is why every single verse and related sura is numbered and they don't complete or supersede the other, other wise all these numberings and meticulous arranged Suras and consequent verses will become meaningless. Also unfortunately Quranic teaching is unclear and awfully vague on who has the authority to issue fatwa or a creed and may be that is why every turban-head can rise up and declare fatwa by which 100s of 1000s of innocents human being loose their lives in span of less than a year. For proof please review the first 8 years of Khomeini's reign in Iran. (Just google "summer of 1988 Iran")

2-It is forbidden in Islam to issue legal rulings about anything without mastery of the Arabic language.
Not true. If we accept this statement then you must confess and publicly admit that islam has been send down by Allah only for Arabic speaking people and it can not be universal as all of you scholars claim when the water is not muddy. How could an Eskimo living close to the North Pole could even hear about a language called Arabic
3-It is forbidden in Islam to oversimplify Shari’ah matters and ignore established Islamic sciences.
Islamic science is an oxymoron. There is no Islamic or Christian or a Buddhist Science in the world. Science has been, is and will always be independent of any ideology, no hijacking of phrases please. BTW without stealling names of scientists from territories like Iran, India, Egypt, Spain, Central Asia..... which islam had conquered by sword can you name an indigenous scientist who was a muslim and from Hijaz (today KSA) or Yemen who had a slightest contribution to human civilization?

4-It is permissible in Islam [for scholars] to differ on any matter, except those fundamentals of religion that all Muslims must know.
Not true. If all of you muslims believe in this principle then what was/is the reason for this barbarian animosity between Sunnis and Shiias who have been killing each other by 100s of 1000s for 1300 years and still on-going today.

5-It is forbidden in Islam to ignore the reality of contemporary times when deriving legal rulings.
Not True. Quran is the final authority which overrules and supersedes all Hadith and Sirrah or fatwa from a fat cat is "NOT AMENDABLE" the revelation in that book has been send by Allah for all times and the word contemporary could never be inserted in between. Quran's legal rulling is for ever and ever. No Bundo application can fix this fact.

6-It is forbidden in Islam to kill the innocent.
That is true. But studying Prophet Mohammad's life it looks like bunch of innocent people lost their lives some just for their pretty wives. But since this principle is outlined in Quran I agree that Islam does not allow you to kill an innocent.
7-It is forbidden in Islam to kill emissaries, ambassadors, and diplomats; hence it is forbidden to kill journalists and aid workers.
It is True. Quran is pretty straight forward about that.
8-Jihad in Islam is defensive war. It is not permissible without the right cause, the right purpose and without the right rules of conduct.
Not true. Jihad is actually and completely an offensive war. After Prophet Mohammad got plenty of material wealth and huge army him and his subsequent inheritors starting by conquering Yemen, Egypt, Iran, Levant, entire North Africa, Central Asia and finally Andulocia in Spain all without a single provocation from the ambushed nation and just based on Jihad which one of the pillars of islam and compulsory to be followed by every single believer.

9-It is forbidden in Islam to declare people non-Muslim unless he (or she) openly declares disbelief.
Not true. If a person does not claim his faith to Islam by declaring his "Shahadatain" loud and clear he/she is considered non-muslim, who in turn will fall under 2 different rulling. Is he/she believes in recognized scripture? or not. If not....oh my God....

10-It is forbidden in Islam to harm or mistreat — in any way —Christians or any ‘People of the Scripture’.
Not true. People of Scripture must pay Jazyyah (Islamic tax, which the amount has never been summarized by islam), if they don't pay then they can be harmed, well...not really harmed. Killed!!
11-It is obligatory to consider Yazidis as People of the Scripture.
And you all call yourselves religious scholars? They are not Yazidis, they are E-Zadis or Izadis who are a branch of Iranian Zoroastrianism and not recognized by Islam. Only Christians and jews are considered people of scripture by Islam, the rest can be imbedded inside a concrete block and send to bottom of the Hudson.

12-The re-introduction of slavery is forbidden in Islam. It was abolished by universal consensus.
Under NO circumstances universal consensus can override Quranic rules. Slavery still exists in Quran and no one has the round stuff to modify. IAW quranic teaching Slavery still stand and some cases you could be punished by freeing a slave for misdemeanor wrong doing like missing your prayer in timely manner

13-It is forbidden in Islam to force people to convert.
Not true and ridiculous at the same time. Entire world must convert to islam and from all only Christians and Jews can keep their faith if they pay the ever increasing and back breaking Jaziyyah. Why do you think Iranians resisted converting for 200 years after invasion? In some point they were p[paying 85% tax and finally said screw it I'm a muslimn.

14-It is forbidden in Islam to deny women their rights.
Not true and the most hilarious. Allah in Quran clearly and blatantly claim that we created Men to be BETTER and OVER woman, woman receives haf of the inherent as of man, her statement in a court equals to half of a man, meaning 2 woman's court statement as wittiness equals to one man, they have to throw compulsory tarp on ther head and evn in 21st century many of them not that cant vote they can't even drive a car or ride a bicycle. And you scholars are telling me "No one can deny their rights?" What rights?? Really?

15-It is forbidden in Islam to deny children their rights.
Not true. Boys until they are 15 and girls until they 9 have to be under their parents or guardians supervision, their rights are secondary concern. BTW no matter how old a man is but he can legally marry a 9 years old girl (considering islamic years are Lunar) and don't ask me who established this despicable trend and not once.

16-It is forbidden in Islam to enact legal punishments (hudud) without following the correct procedures that ensure justice and mercy.
Not true. How could be mercy in eye for an eye, ear for an ear, hand for a hand or even life for a life? Isn't that the "hudud". Didn't Hazrat e Muhammad ordered 900 Men of Bano Quriza to be beheaded in one single day? What kind of justice and mercy that was? And you that Bano Quriza indecent was not the first or the last, 10s of 1000s followed.

17-It is forbidden in Islam to torture people.
Not true. There is no imprisonment in Islam. All penal codes are immediate and right there. Among those punishment is flogging and if you don't consider flogging as torture then I must say you scholars need to have your head examined. BTW cutting thief's hands, eye for an eye, ear for an ear and basically what is called "Qesaas" in islammeaning what ever harm a person inflicted on you you can do the same to him/her, like gauging his eye ball.

18-It is forbidden in Islam to disfigure the dead.
That is true. Human being in islam has far more respect when he is dead than being alive.

19-It is forbidden in Islam to attribute evil acts to God
I can't respond to this, because it directly related to what act?
20-It is forbidden in Islam to destroy the graves and shrines of Prophets and Companions.
Not true. If you believe on what you claim then why did you keep silence when the Baquieh Cemetery was bulldozed?

Building a shrine over any ones grave is a blasphemy. Just google "Prophet Mohammad's grave". He does not have even his name written on his tomb stone. Which is the right way according to quran. Shiias are definitely idolators.
21-Armed insurrection is forbidden in Islam for any reason other than clear disbelief by the ruler and not allowing people to pray.
Not true. Middle East and North African history is polluted by Islamic army's insurrection all for no reason than converting the inhabitants, which in turn was another deception for looting their belonging, stealing their women and they were done with them take and sell them in slave markets.

22-It is forbidden in Islam to declare a caliphate without consensus from all Muslims.
That is true with one condition. Consensus of all muslims are not required just their chief of tribes.

23-Loyalty to one’s nation is permissible in Islam.
Not true and laughable. Islam does not recognize nations or any geographical boundaries. There is no such a thing as nation. The whole world is divided into 2 parts, The House of Islam and The House of War.

24-After the death of the Prophet, Islam does not require anyone to emigrate anywhere.
Could be true or false, there is no clear teaching for immigration. But we know there is one clear obligation. "Conquer the whole world what ever it takes"

Hey Dok, I'll be hidding for another month..
