  • Snow covers Jerusalem

About a half meter of snow fell on Jerusualem stranding motorists and downing power lines. Such a heavy snowfall is a rarity.

Snow also fell in Cairo, the first time in 112 years.

Jerusalem received 18-20" of snow... the largest snowfall in over 70 years. It also snowed in Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, the Sinai, and northern Egypt to the suburbs of Cairo. The coastal cities were drenched with heavy rains.

I bet that snow hit the roads like the hammer of God.... We only get snow 1-2x a year and people spin out. I can't imagine large cities full of drivers that have never seen the stuff.

Surprisingly enough, there were very few casualties (only 4 deaths) and also nearly no word on traffic accidents. Largely because the police shut down the iced roads early. Cars that were already trapped in the snow were left there, and the passengers taken to large shelters over the weekend. The roads are already deiced and open.

i don't see any snow on rooftops and tree limbs.

              there was no snow.

              it's a zionist trick.

no, seriously, even accounting for the melt off, why are there no snow except on the ground?

It was a VERY light shower. In other photos it is not even covering the grass properly. Perhaps the retained heat in the buildings melted it.

It's funny to see snow and palm trees.

In Scotland, we expect snow in January or early February. Here the temp is higher than normal for the time of year.

I thought you expected it from September to May.

                        It's Scotland, not Canada.
