Would they do this so soon after the initial agreement ?

Had there not been an agreement then the argument would be made that Iran did not want to play ball.

Now it could be said that the threat of further sanctions made Iran more accommodating.

The threat of further sanctions served the purpose and is more important than passing them.

Unknown. Senators return to Washington the first week in December. Increased sanctions legislation has already been passed in the House. Senators will be subjected to extreme pressures from the White House and lobbyists for Israel, Saudi Arabia. et. al. I personally believe they should wait it out and then gauge the success/failure of the temporary six month agreement. That said, Iran will have to make significant concessions in the final phase to avoid catastrophe.

I see the 'threat' of further sanctions as having contributed to securing this deal.

Now we have six months of breathing room. Iran has an interest to comply.

Not going to be that simple though. Too many hard nuts on both sides. The Iranian ones will be silent, for now.

Both leaders, Obama & Rouhani will be asking themselves whether the other can deliver.

Minister Naftali Bennett is not too bad at the oratory, and I'd rather let him explain to you why the deal is a horrible deal

Meddle not in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.

Abusing Yellow is meant to be a labor of love, not something you sell to the highest bidder.

This is awesome news for the world; I hope that this will be a foundation to build on and repair ties and move away from the brink of war. Iran/Persia is one of the world's oldest civilizations and deserves to be treated with some respect.

That Israel detests the deal is predictable, however everyone knows they have nukes of their own so there is little international sympathy for their position. Now that this agreement has been signed, does Netanyahu work himself into enough of a rage and go it alone with a pre-emptive strike?

As hard as I try I find it impossible to draw any comparisons to Munich in 1938. Iran is ranked somewhere like 30th in the world in military spending, hardly indicative of a state like Nazi Germany that was ramping up for a major war. Even if this agreement falls apart no one is looking to gobble up the Sudetenland.

If Israel wants Iran to give up its dreams of nuclear power, made they shoud do the same, sing the NPT and submit to inspections. Until then on this subject Israel needs to STFU because they are not an honest player.

This deal mans there is zero chance of an Iranian nuclear weapons program proceeding forward. It brings economic relief to the Iranian people and furthers dialogue between Iran and the West.

The deal does nothing to stop nuclear weapons research. It only stops nuclear materials from being used but no intrusion into their weapons program. Suspected weapons labs are still out of bounds.

Nuclear bombs need nuclear materials. Iran is not going to have anything but LEU after this deal and too few centrifuges to build back up a stock pile of fissile material.

Israel has bombs, Saudi Arabia has access to bombs, USA has bombs, there is a legitimate reason for Iran to have the bomb. Especially considering its history.

And allow Iran technology to further refine her designs.

Iran signed away that reason. That is also history.

Sir, she could have our most advanced designs and they would not do her any good without fissile material. Iran traded any real long term hopes for a bomb for 11 billion dollars worth of her money and assets being free from the sanctions. I think, even as much as I detest him that this is going to be Obama's master stroke and legacy. Not killing OBL, not obamacare, but rapprochement with Iran and lessening the risk of a Shia Islam-a-bomb and the Sunni response.
