The second, I disagree. The UN has been useful as a forum as it has stopped the US from going into Syria. Thats was another disaster waiting to happen, but common sense prevailed.

Kosovo, Georgia, and Iraq were not UN approved ... and in case you have not noticed, Georgia was not an American War.

Hores puckey! The Brits didn't get into that war because it sucked!

If it sucked, then why are the Americans so insistent?
What you are suggesting is that the americans aren't playing the geopolitical game quite well.
Getting a UN vote is political cover. Obama's reputation was built on consulting and multi-lateralism. All this has gone down the toilet, but I reckon he didn't want to get involved anyway, he was pushed.
Anyway, with a more broader representation on the UNHRC, I think we will see more cooperation and progress.

You got to be kidding me? Obama hardly consults his own Congress if to go to war, let alone UN.
Brits never went to Syria because they don't have a winning horse, not because their ally plays bad.No such thing as a good tax - Churchill
To make mistakes is human. To blame someone else for your mistake, is strategic.

Missile strikes was not meant to be a winning horse or a quagmire. The Brits didn't go in cause the parliament shut that option. The executive decision by Cameron and co was to go all in with BHO.
