    A very bittersweet day

    In 1978, it was Bucky Fking Dent. I was in a house with 8 die hard or temporary Yankees fans.

    In 1983, it was Yaz's final game as he retired. I missed this as I was stationed in Germany at the time but there is a reason my Virginia license plates say YAZ&ORR.

      No griping...and because of 2004 Mariano Rivera is one of the most revered figures in Red Sox history!
