I live with a lead foot so this happens to us a bit more than I'd like to admit. We've yet to get a ticket in the mail though so don't stress about it too much. You should be good, just note there's a camera there now and stop instead of carrying on....yeah, I know it is pretty tempting.

Yep, I'm definitely a lot more careful now. Problem is, as time goes by, old habits do start to creep back up. I should probably start reminding myself at every intersection now.

Go get yourself a beer. What's done is done. Worrying ain't going to change a thing. You either got a ticket or you don't. Posting here ain't going to change that. What you can change is how you feel ... in other words, go get yourself a beer.

I don't recommend scotch to amateurs.

Just don't drive afterwards. Unless you want yourself on that calendar, too.

You're right, sir. No point sulking over it. Just waiting for the weekend to come by; a big party at Niagra this week.

And I prefer my vodka, sir. Growing up, I've seen all the older gents in the family love their scotch (especially their Johnnie Walker Black/Blue). Scotch is like a Punjabi cultural drink. Especially where I'm from: Patiala peg - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

    Vodka's a refreshing change.

Hope you smiled for the camera . As OOE said amber means slow down not step on it.

    Cheers!...on the rocks!!

    Q. At night, they may not be able to see the driver.

Tickets in theory should be issued to drivers, not vehicles. Let's say you loan your car to your son who gets zapped. YOU get the ticket, correct? Is there anything you can do except get the $$ out of your boy via chores?

Having points assessed for a moving violation, when you are not at the wheel, would be annoying.

In some places, it is obligation of the owner to recognize the driver.

But that doesn't change the fact that if I give my car to someone else and they speed, I end up getting the ticket and the points, they aren't transferable

Actually, the points and the ticket (here) are only issued if the person is identifiable (sp).

If not, you will receive the photos and "notice" (which holds no legal ground) to appear in the Police Station and recognize the person on the photo, or to say who drove the car at the time.

Good luck putting points to company (fleet) cars.

    Let's examine the evidence.

Over here, the red light camera tickets are issued to the car, not the driver. This means that you'll have to pay the fine, but no points are deducted. So if you lend your car to someone, better track them down and get them to pay!
