They view themselves as citizens of this sub-continent. Indians muslims, bangladeshi muslims, rogingya muslims or pakistani muslims is just a "nationality".

IM is nothing but a small, amateurish front organization for Pakistan based terror groups such as HuJI and LeT. Their main intent has been to recruit indigenous Indian Muslim foot soldiers to carry out the attacks to give the terror a more pan-subcontinental Muslim identity rather than just Pakistani. All of IM's notable attacks to date have either been carried out by HuJI and/or LeT. The IM's own indigenous capabilities can be seen in this attack; 10 blasts resulting in 2 non-fatal injuries.

Yes, mainly. Although Tronic has answered.
IM was created to mask the vectoring of all terror attacks to LeT & Pakistan.

          Cheers!...on the rocks!!

Yes, it was made up of youth who were disheartened by the 2002 communal riots in Gujarat state.
A politicalo-religious student group in India called the Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) that was banned because of terro links with Pak based jihadi groups, provided the initial members and subsequest foot-soldiers from its madarsaas.

Like LT sir mentioned, things are more clearer on this group now.

The theory floated at the start was, post 9/11 since Pakistan was on world radar, the terror originating against India was bringing plenty of criticism for Pakistan. This Group was formed to make it look like an Indigenous group of dissatisfied Indian Muslims.

This group surfaced one year before Mumbai attacks.

Most of its recruits are of Indian origin from out law banned members of SIMI who became more active after their banning with Gujarat riots also playing a role including active LeT sleeper cells.

Last year KSA deported one of its member wanted for Mumbai attacks Sayed Zabiuddin Ansari aka Abu Hamza aka Abu Jundal, an Indian citizen. The fuck served as the handler of the 10 LeT terrorists during 2008 Mumbai attacks. He was living in KSA on Pakistani passport, ISI tried for months to stop his deportation, fortunately American pressure worked for us.

Yasin Bhatkal, one of India's most wanted men, arrested near Nepal border | NDTV.com

Bhatkal, (Indian Mujahideen founder) 30, was caught in north Bihar, reportedly after a tip-off from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to the National Investigation Agency (NIA). He will be handed over to the NIA. Another Indian Mujahideen member, Asadullah Akhtar, was arrested with him.

Its hard to believe to see hard nut terrorist pigs are being caught and brought one after the other recently. Why didn't this happen earlier and surprised to see the change now. Anyways good job by Indian intelligence agencies.
It is so. It cant be otherwise

                          Indeed..

It is the second breakthrough for Indian agencies after the arrest of Lashkar-e-Taiba bomb expert Abdul Karim Tunda over a week ago
What difference is there regarding our abilities to detect or interdict compared to before 26/11 ?

after 26/11 chidambaram came out with a simple 3 point plan
                          - intel, set up an intelligence grid, 19 CM's opposed it
                          - counter terrorism agency, 9 CM's opposed it
                          - agency to investigate AFTER the attrocity happened - the current working model.

Why are bombs not going off as often they did. Is it really what we've done since or something else that got in the way.

Bodh Gaya attack has cured this secular government's functional inefficiencies.

Still many of its cabinet ministers believe IM doesn't exist.

Yasin Bhatkal is singing and a lot of guys are getting caught and IED factories are being found: good job.

One factory in Mangalore and the other in Hyderabad helped the police recover 90 IEDs.
