On the subject of Mr. Snowden, I believe it was unwise for him to have gone to HK. The SAR has an extradition treaty with America. Although Beijing has the right to decline a request for extradition, I don't think they would. It'll make themselves look hypocritical. Besides he probably doesn't have knowledge of intelligence of higher value from the NSA, being a contractor. So although awkward, I don't think this will develop into a diplomatic row (unlike Chen Guangchen's dramatic exodus). I'll quote former President Jiang Zemin to describe him, 'too young, too simple, sometimes naive'.
