I never knew he was ill... My prayers are with his family and if we can find a way to contribute so that his family know much we respected and liked him I shall be happy to do so.
This was his final pm to me when I was debating somewhat heatedly with astralis and DOR on the US economic thread; it says alot about the sort of person he was.
Hi, I'm glad you are here
Snapper,
I enjoy reading your posts, they are appreciated. It concerns me to see the frustration in your most recent posts. I believe most contributing Wabbits butt heads with certain other Wabbits. It happens to me frequently, but there are usually many others who treat us as friends and valued contributors. Some of the people I argue with and disagree with are still good friends, even though there are times I'd feel like I'm going to snap and give them a good flaming. So far, I've managed to hold off on my friends, but I certainly lost it on the Chinese terrorism thread the other day with that kyli character.
Economics isn't my chosen field of study (naval history, science and engineering are), but it affects my life and I can't afford not to try and learn more. I have read a lot and learned a bit on economics here, but don't really have any good analysis or answers to put forth. I hope you'll continue to offer yours, since they seem to offer a viable alternative to some of the other ideas I've heard about here. Your ideas and arguments are well thought out and well presented. Your unique sense of humor and approach are something I've come to look forward to. The WAB has been a favorite place for about five years now, and I am grateful to be a part of it, thanks to you and others here. Its our differences that make the WAB interesting.
Thanks for being here.
