So if I and say 30% of others support lower taxes and some outside country forces all the political Parties in my country to say they won't lower taxes so we can't vote meaningfully for what we want that's democracy? Suppose it were locking up rapists?

"foreces all the political Parties in my country to . . . "

How's that work? Is it at gun point, or maybe by pointing out what will and will not happen if the parties agree or don't agree with a certain policy choice?

And, at what point did the country stop having elections, such that the people in power can't be removed?
      Trust me?

Well say by telling them their banks won't open on Tuesday (as in Cyprus) if they don't adhere to whatever policy you want enforced?

Whether elections occur is not the point - it's about whether alternatives can voiced or voted on.
