On the contrary I agree and include that in primary objective targeting. I am merely saying uranium enrichment 'bunkers' come secondary to weapons and general 'infrastructure collapse' or Linebacker operations come after that - if you wish to stop a possible escalation in this scenario.

Unfortunately, nukes have something called the National Command Authority and that must be taken out, disabled, etc and that means powergrids, tv/radio stations, bridges, etc, anything to stop or to reduce the NCA's ability to execute and that means bridges, electrical grids, etc.

I respect you but you did not get me,

What have I specified on my target list that I can ignore on a first strike mission?

Sir, but even with a collapsed economy they won the war.

No mate, the payment is still in USD. Till 2010 the Rupee had gained against the USD and was trading INR 45 = 1 $, but as the Iran crisis developed the USD gained and was trading around INR 52 = 1 $ by 2011 (when the GDP growth was just 2.5% for that year). In 2012 the exchange rate had gone to INR 55 = 1 $.

As the crisis develops, availability of international crude oil reduces as Iranian crude is denied markets, the heavy demands from India and China shoot up the price of oil and hence we all end up buying up more dollars.

.....the idiotic Iranian leadership painted a bullseye on themselves by threatening Israel.
There is no doubt about that....they are akin to our right wing regional parochial political parties.

              Cheers!...on the rocks!!

Captain, there is no right nor wrong about this. This is history. Our governments made their choices ... and for the longest time, I did not understand why India made the choices that she made ... until you made it clear ... for which I am grateful.

I don't know anywhere else but WAB is the first place I've made where we former enemies really made an effort to educate each other ... and for that, I am eternally grateful to call you all friend.

They prevailed in the end and that is what matters in the long run. The US unleashed all its conventional military might but did not prevail.

In the case of Iran, bombing them is not an option, because then the economic benifits (for the US) created by the crisis will be lost.

If the US wants to defeat Iran, then it will have to open up for India a reliable source of crude at competive prices. This will leave only China as Irans customer, and will criple Iran financially as China as other sources of oil and does not have to depend on Iranian crude.

The only thing that will bring Iran to the negotiating table will be when they do not have food in the stores and the Iranian public begins to turn on the Govt.

                  Cheers!...on the rocks!!

Sir, India always had a mixed economy, some sectors were nationalised and the license raj existed but nevertheless it was not a completely socialist economy.

The economy was opened up in the mid 80's during the time of Rajiv Gandhi's regime, much before the Soviet Russia broke up. It had to speed up after the oil prices shot up after Gulf War I....

Sir, the design even if copied by the Iranians may not have a worthwhile bang. But would it be worth bombing them because they are making a nuke that may not work?

They are looked upon as the "David" facing the US Goliath, in the Arab and Islamic world. Why make them a demi-Gods by bombing them?....

                        Cheers!...on the rocks!!

You are comparing BJP to the Iranian mullahs?? Can you make any this any more idiotic than you have with this statement?

Captain, the original poster's premise is what can we do about Iran. However, there is another point here. Iran gave her word about not getting nukes and signed a treaty stating such. Violation of that treaty is not something that should be treated lightly, given the deadly results out of it.

As they say, assumption is the mother of all fcuk ups....
I was referring to Shiv Sena, DMK, AIDMK, MNS, BSP etc....BJP is not a regional parochial party.

The BJP on the other hand is a national party, whose mentors the RSS polarise the masses by formenting communal hatred.

Stop being an idiot for a change.

                              Cheers!...on the rocks!!

Show any concrete proof that the RSS has formented communal hatred instead of the sensational grandstanding comments made by Congress.

Good job! Now you have mastered the basics of saying the statement. The next step is to look at the mirror and see it applied to the person that is most needed.
