It's never too early in our all-too-topical U.S. of A to begin discussing the pride of place for any notable luminary. Dave Petraeus is just such a figure. There can be little question as the years roll forward that his name will be right at the top for those seriously discussing Iraq, particularly the years of insurgency following the conquest.
