    You just gave Japan free access to the oil supplies she went to war for in the first place. You know the oil they need to properly train pilots, the fuel needed to keep ships at sea...

      The Dutch East Indies were still in Japanese hands when the war ended, despite being in MacArthur's sector.

      And there is nothing wrong with continuing to operate raiding subs out of Fremantle, as occurred in the Original Timeline. They are not tied to fleet action the way Japanese submarines are.

        Mac cut the sea link between them and home Islands, have you looked at a map and seen where the Philippines are in relation to that oil transport?
