    • ESA's Mars Webcam account:

      http://www.flickr.com/photos/esa_marswebcam/

Basically, Mars Express has a simple basic low-resolution camera onboard that was originally supposed to take photos of the lander Beagle during separation. ESA has, since 2007, repurposed this camera to send a single image of Mars from the same position in orbit. Every single day at the same time. Since trivial stuff like this has the lowest priority on the datalink, they usually wait until 10-20 pictures have been taken, get those transmitted, and post them to the above Flickr account in bulk. The current flickr account has been active since 2012.

Currently, due to proximity allowing higher datalink capacity, they're down to 6-8 hours between photos being taken and being posted though, so basically you get a "real" Webcam with 24-hour refresh.

ESA also runs a blog where they sometimes (once or twice a month) comment notable pictures, show experimental imagery of targets other than Mars using the cam or show special stuff like videos assembled with the cam: Mars Webcam | An ordinary camera in an extraordinary place

      • Rosetta is currently at 51,707 km from 67P/whatever. By the end of the month it'll approach a distance of 1000 km distance from the comet; planned "arrival" to 100 km is on August 6th, i.e. in exactly five weeks.

Rosetta will have five more burn phases to brake to lower its speed to that of the comet (Rosetta completed the fifth of a planned ten braking burns a few hours ago, reducing its relative speed by another 130 mph). At 1000 km, OSIRIS aboard Rosetta should be able to deliver the first proper detail pictures of the comet; Rosetta's NAVCAM is already tracking it visually now of course. In this phase Rosetta will begin examining the comet's exact shape and take pictures before settling into a 25 km orbit, from where it will map the surface in detail to find a landing site for Philae.

For the position of Rosetta and the comet within the solar system see: Where is Rosetta?

Rosetta crossed 360,000 km distance from the comet (i.e. Earth-Moon distance) by the beginning of last month, at that point turning on further instruments (spectrometers) to gauge its surroundings. The outgassing of the comet is also tracked now already as it is of significant enough amount to push Rosetta out of its flight path once closer in if it isn't taken into account. The rather small comet is apparently sweating 0.3 kg of water per second already, about 1/20th of what Ceres is pushing into space; this amount was expected scientifically, and is expected to rapidly rise as it comes closer to the sun.

YouTube; * Atypical New • GEARTURBINE / Retrodynamic = DextroRPM VS LevoInFlow + Ying Yang Thrust Way Type - Non Waste Looses

-This innovative concept consists of hull and core where are held all 8 bteps of the work-flow which make the concept functional. The core has several gears and turbines which are responsible for these 8 steps (5 of them are dedicated to the turbo stages). The first step is fuel compression, followed by 2 cold turbo levels. The fourth step is where the fuel starts burning – combustion stage, which creates thrust for the next, 5th step – thrust step, which provides power to the planetary gears and turbines and moves the system. This step is followed by two hot turbo steps and the circle is enclosed by the final 8th step – bigger turbine. All this motion in a retrodynamic circumstance effect, wich is plus higher RPM speed by self motion. The Reaction at front of the action.

*8-X/Y Thermodynamic CYCLE - Way Steps:
          1)1-Compression / bigger
          2)2-Turbo 1 cold
          3)2-Turbo 2 cold
          4)2-Combustion - circular motion flames / opposites
5)2-Thrust - single turbo & planetary gears / ying yang
          6)2-Turbo 2 hot
          7)2-Turbo 1 hot
          8)1-Turbine / bigger

-With Retrodynamic Dextrogiro vs Levogiro Phenomenon Effect. / Rotor-RPM VS InFlow / front to front; "Collision-Interaction Type" - inflow vs blades-gear-move. Technical unique dynamic innovative motion mode. [Retrodynamic Reaction = When the inflow have more velocity the rotor have more RPM Acceleration, with high (XY Position) Momentum] Which the internal flow (and rotor) duplicate its speed, when activated being in a rotor (and inflow) with [inverse] opposite Turns. A very strong Novel torque power concept.

-Non waste parasitic looses for; friction, cooling, lubrication & combustion. -Shape-Mass + Rotary-Motion = Inertia-Dynamic / Form-Function Wide [Flat] Cylindrical shape + positive dynamic rotary mass = continue Inertia kinetic positive tendency motion..

                    • Personally, i think the payload of that Rover is typical NASA ware. Roll around Mars, take photos and use a spectrometer on interesting rocks on the surface. It's really just about the same payload as MSL Curiosity already carries. Just modernized.

ESA's ExoMars rover landing in 2019 will have about the same payload too. Plus a drill that will show us what Mars is like six feet under.
