  • Good day Gentlemen and thank you for this great forum.

I am from South Africa. I have a background in psychology, my main interests are geopolitics and history. If I was an American I would be considered an average conservative, here in South Africa that means I am a far right extremest:)

I hope to learn a great deal on here and perhaps contribute where I can.

I recommend you go to this thread and learn some of the rules of the road we follow on this site to keep things civil.

A very interesting introduction and perspective coming from a Springbok.

            • Thank you for the warm welcome, Lady and gentlemen

I have just finished reading the rules, seems sensible enough.

On other sites I have found that when a South African talks about what might happen in SA that people respond by blaming that individual for somehow wanting it to happen, like civil war. Surely what one foresees is not automatically what one wants. In this case it is the exact opposite of what I want. Thankfully it seems that this forum utilizes critical reasoning more than most.

                  • Greetings all, happy to have found you all. I stumbled across this board while casually researching the reasoning behind the difference in commanders in US and Brit companies (discussed here). I then managed to discover your discussion on the Korean Pen and decided this group of people is one worth knowing. Looking forward to interacting with you.

                        • Greetings to all from Finland. Engineering student here. I stumbled upon this forum in the search of information. I have an old military artifact which I plan to fix and needed some repair manuals so I thought why not try here.

                          • Welcome to WAB.

We got a Finland here in the US if you ever come over and want to see the other Finland. It's in the rural areas of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and northeastern Minnesota.

If you're on vacation in the US though, you're probably not here to see the other Finland. :-)

This is a great place for what you're looking for though. Lots of people with expert knowledge who will spend hours researching that post, and there's bound to be someone here who shares your interests.
