AM,I won't comment on the nuclear issue, not because I'm clueless but because there are people on this board far more qualified.
You claim you are entitled to some input wrt the future government of Afghanistan. The US,however would be beyond idiotic to trust anyone outside the most loyal individuals with positions of power and I speak here of the likes of Saleh.Do I need to remind who supported whom in the civil war that preceded the Western intervention? Those guys have every justifiable reason in the world to be wary of Pakistan and it's not West's fault .You can't remove them without war and in fact that's exactly what is brewing right now:a split between those who are eager to arrive at a deal with the Taliban and those who understand such a thing is not possible.
I'm sorry to say but the interests of the centers of power were set on a collision course long ago.I'm not getting into S-Asian geopolitics since they are beyond the subject at hand and there are enough spitting contests.
I hope(in vain) there will be a solution other than ultima ration regum(the last argument of kings).
While I am familiar with Balochistan I'll ask you to guide to the specific documents you're talking about,so I can have a better view. There are tons of them and life is short .Please give the link on a PM since public links to wiki are forbidden by forum rules.
