Hinder are not a cover band, but do some awesome covers, nonetheless:

Eddie Money - Take Me Home Tonight

Hinder - Take Me Home Tonight

Steppenwolf - Born To Be Wild

Hinder - Born To Be Wild

Metallica's cover of Tuesday's Gone is pretty amazing.

Am I Evil by Diamond Head was covered by Metallica on the Kill 'Em All album.
The song was so adaptable to thrash that "The Big Four" (Slayer, Megadeth, Anthrax and Metallica) played it together.

Here's where they did the song together in Bulgaria...

I thought this was a very honorable tribute to the orig (and more timely). It rocks.

                    The original..........

                          The original

                          The remake

I like them both and just FYI, I have all of the covers I am going to post on CD and listen often, so I don't have a fave, I just like covers and originals.

I think a cover makes an orig better for some reason, even if the cover sucks, or maybe the orig sucked, the cover could be killer....There are plenty of examples of both, I got a load of them.

                          Be back soon.....

I also like Rick Rubin's production work over the years which included The Red Hot Chili Peppers' version of Stevie Wonder's Higher Ground ...

AC/DC fans should also check out his work with The Cult on Love Removal Machine, which is practically a tribute song.

Singer-songwriter Nick Lowe's What's So Funny About Peace, Love and Understanding? is a plaintive acoustic piece about the end of the hippy dream, but Elvis Costello injected it with the spirit of the New Wave and turned it into a call-to-arms.
