An ex-police officer who committed a string of sex offences against children has been jailed for life and told he will serve at least 11 years.

Daniel Lishman, of Northamptonshire, was convicted earlier of serious child sex offences.

Coventry Crown Court was told the 37-year-old used jobs as a mobile dog-groomer and TV licensing officer to carry out at least eight offences.

He was arrested after attacking a 12-year-old girl in Warwickshire.

Most are segregated. They are housed with like for like offenders so they can be 'treated' in sex offender treatment programmes. Sex offender treatment programmes are available in 26 out of the 140 jails in England and Wales. There are more than 7,500 sex offenders currently behind bars. These scum should be put in main stream prison and not given special treatment. Their victims don't get any special treatment and nor should they.

We all know how bad the recidivism rate is for these pedo pigs. And we've seen lives totally destroyed by them. I'd personally be in favor of life in jail (or even death) for 2nd offenses.

It make me furious to know these excuses for human beings are in prison being fed 4 meals a day, pool/snooker rooms, gymnasium, sports grounds, shop, TV in every room, laundry, and paid work if they want it.

As for life in prison, or worse, not in the UK. Dear me, that just would not do. Punishing criminals is the last thing the Courts think of. For example:

A senior police officer has appeared in court accused of child sex offences and possessing indecent images of children.



Inspector Geraint Lloyd Evans, 47, of South Wales Police, was remanded in custody after appearing at Llanelli Magistrates' Court.

Evans was charged with seven separate offences on Thursday and was remanded to appear at Swansea Crown Court on March 11.

The allegations include conspiring with others to incite engagement in unlawful sexual activity with a child under 13.

He is also charged with three offences of making indecent images of children, possession of four child abuse images and possession of extreme pornography.

Evans is also charged with a single offence of possessing section 1 ammunition.

He will appear in court next week with three members of the public also charged with offences related to indecent images of children.

Evans was charged after an investigation by the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC).

A separate South Wales Police criminal investigation linked to the case led to the three members of the public being charged.

IPCC commissioner for Wales Tom Davies said: "I am satisfied that this is being thoroughly investigated. It would be inappropriate to comment further now that the judicial process has started."
