In Pakistan - and occaisionally Afghanistan, as the mood strikes. Somewhere near the border. My money goes in the Tora Bora area. Lots of places to scoot there, Tora Bora and Milawa alone have hundreds of caves to hide in, many of them "improved", and more than one that tunnel UNDER the border to make for easy (and unobserved) across the fence access. No need to go through the Khyber from Jalalabad to Peshawar. Probably too many orbital folks eyeballing the Khyber anyhow.

When the Russians were there, the area gave them fits, and they only found around 60 of the cave entrances. For them, it was like playing whack-a-mole, where the pesky moles shot back. They finall pulled out and left the area alone. Just like we did.

For all Pakistan's protestations, they are the most likely country to give shelter to Laden. They are too muslim not too.

Nothing, and I do mean nothing has happened to prove otherwise. The video's and tapes have not been conclusive to my mind.

Frankly it is much harder to hunt and kill a legend that is a ghost, than a legend that is alive.

I voted for dead, no real convincing proof of life. His purported 2008 tape can only be traced to the 2006 Danish cartoon incident. It might be talking about the 2008 reprinting, but does not specifically say so.
