To make mistakes is human. To blame someone else for your mistake, is strategic.

By the way, resurrecting long dead threads is kinda frowned upon here ;)“He was the most prodigious personification of all human inferiorities. He was an utterly incapable, unadapted, irresponsible, psychopathic personality, full of empty, infantile fantasies, but cursed with the keen intuition of a rat or a guttersnipe. He represented the shadow, the inferior part of everybody’s personality, in an overwhelming degree, and this was another reason why they fell for him.”

Consider this , the krauts held all the cards , they were fully prepared and equipped , their great Generals still got their arses kicked all the way back to Berlin . Shame they worshiped a numfuck leader who they tried to kill , and couldn't even manage that . 2 WW and got battered both times with their superiority , and why just pick on yank Generals ?

Are you joking. I don't call Tobruk and El alamein secondary roles handing Germany their first defeat. Held Tobruk for 9 months. Fell within 8 weeks after the 9th Division were relieved. Australians served at a rate per capita only second to the Soviet Union. Give the Anzacs the credit they deserve and recognize the fact that our "Sandy Beret" S.A.S are the best soldiers in the World.
