    U.N Peacekeeping experience

I was wondering how U.N peacekeeping experience factor in on a soldier's experience with military matters?

I understand that real combat experiences are a vital part on how effective soldiers are on the field. I know that peacekeeping isn't exactly the same as real combat experience, but I still wonder their effect on soldiers.
Those who can't change become extinct.

Peacekeeping is not a job for soldiers but it's a job only soldiers can do. There is a lot of practical experience at the section and platoon levels but rarely do you get above that for any meaningful experience.
