Could not judge by the pics.

Top is from movie Apollo 13. And she looks pretty accurate except for the recovery tally. She did the recovery with 4 capsule markings. It wasn't till she was back on the Iwo that the fifth marking was added

The bottom picture is from Apollo 11.
Its called Tourist Season. So why can't we shoot them?

OOps see it. The knight is backward.

Sometimes you can't see whats staring you in the face. Or as my grandmother would say "If it was a snake it would have bit you"
Its called Tourist Season. So why can't we shoot them?

That's it. When Joe asked me what was wrong I had no clue. He then pointed out that it was backwards and he decided to leave it that way when paint went on. Not for me to decide as he was Crew Chief and everything related to helo was his decision.

Naval Base Point Loma, San Diego. Nuke subs are based there, looks like two tenders tied up. Attended my brother-in-law's wedding at the O-Club, right at the base of the hill.

Correct. The picture was taken by me during the summer of 1972. Could have made it harder by naming the tenders which were named by a former tender sailor who was on one of them in 1972 and saw the shot on my website.

I know it's not my turn but while JCT comes up with one here is a quick one.

You would think they would make excellent ordinance but the flyers at Veracruz where under strict rules of engagement and where not even allowed to shoot back with their pistols, when fired upon.

As a bonus question another first in US military aviation history occurred during the Veracruz campaign and it happened to the same 2 flyers that dropped the first ordinance.
