Not in Florida! But Marine aviator training was done in Philly.

    Naval Air Station Pensacola?
I should have phrased the question better. Some Marines may have trained at Pensacola, but I know that then-Captain Cunningham, USMC, stole several Navy pilot trainees from Pensacola and commissioned them into the Marine Corps as pilots. He leased the Curtis Flying Field and established the 1st Aviation Force in April 1918. Four squadrons were trained here with the goal of getting them to support the Marine Brigade in Europe. The field was renamed the Marine Flying Field Miami and the det trained until July, whereupon they embarked for Europe.

I'd say either the HMS Ark Royal, first to be converted to a mixed seaplane/airplane carrier, or the HMS Argus, first to have a full-length flight deck.

To clarify, I didn't mean to limit it to carriers with heavier than air aircraft. The ship I have in mind is a balloon tender.
