Having seen the now banished BaronVonUlm misinterpret/misstate the US experience in the Philippines from 1899-1902, it rekindled my interest to try and pick up some readings on all of the various COIN campaigns in the PI.
I've already read Brian McAllister Linn's Amazon.com: The Philippine War, 1899-1902 (Modern War Studies): Books: Brian McAllister Linn, which was an excellent book and just checked out his older book, Amazon.com: The U.S. Army and Counterinsurgency in the Philippine War, 1899-1902: Books: Brian McAllister Linn, to read. Additionally, here's an article he wrote for Military Review two years back, http://usacac.army.mil/CAC/milreview...Apr05/linn.pdf.
If anyone's got some recommended readings on this COIN campaign or others (especially the Huk rebellion), I'd appreciate it. Thanks.
