This situation is still not getting any better, I hope that all the crews make it out safely.
It seems so sureal, here in Eastern Ontario its 21 degrees, ice and winter is the very last thing on my mind right now..yet even as I type this. Some 100 vessels and 500 men are stuck out on the ice, in the icy grasp on winter. Many of those ships have either had had there hulls crushed, pushed up out of the ice, or are listing badly. Twenty four ships have been evacuated, and crews are waiting for help out on the unpredictable Ice.
Aircraft have been flying out with food and fuel to the trapped men on the ice, 2 Canadian Coast Guard Breakers have had there turns being stuck in the Ice aswell.
My thoughts go out to those men...I hope that mother nature releases her ice grip, and the winds die down, so that they all go home to there worrying loved ones..
