I want to know the name of a real strategic wargame game!
"Some have learnt many Tricks of sly Evasion, Instead of Truth they use Equivocation, And eke it out with mental Reservation, Which is to good Men an Abomination."
I don't have to attend every argument I'm invited to.
Age of Empires [ all parts ], Project IGI 1 & 2, SOCOM II, Halo I & II , Night fire, Medal of Honour, Swat and many more.....!
And I never use cheat codes !!
Ugh. I need to play that game again. I played it once. My only ambition was to build a third town. I failed. Haven't had a chance to play since.
Third Runner Up:
MB's "Axis & Allies".
Have you played Avalon Hill's Revised Edition? The gameplay is much improved from what I've heard. I've only played the Avalon Hill version, love it/hate it.
My roommate's a big A&A fan. He also used to play Fortress Europa. It includes every unit that was historically present during Operation Neptune/Overlord. Tiny Polish units, random Frenchies; they're all there. Ridiculously complex.

Yup. I have A&A Euriope, A&A Pacific, A&A D-Day, and A&A Battle of the Bulge.
Just played A&A Europe Sunday - the Germans were on their heels but the Sov player made a boo-boo and lost Moscow. :(
