  • London terror attack: Married police officer one of five killed

Police have named the officer who was killed by a knifeman terrorist in London today and revealed the death toll in the attack has risen to five.

Keith Palmer, 48, was stabbed to death outside Parliament by the attacker who brought carnage to London, mowing down pedestrians on Westminster Bridge, killing three and injuring around 40 more.

A 4x4 drove along the pavement on the crowded bridge, knocking down and seriously injuring pedestrians before crashing into a fence below Big Ben.

Shell the Brits ban the cars and knives now?

But hey, the mayor says to get used to it, since it's one of the perks for living in a big city.

As unpalatable; and in some way obscene, the Lord Mayors comment is none the less true.
In the same way as seeing armed guards out in front of the Jewish Synagogue here in Copenhagen.
As for the cars and knives. Recent legislation here in this country has forbidden the carrying of knives over 7 cm.(ca 2.5 “) , in length.

Somewhat confusingly there are two Mayors in 'London'. Historically the City of London and the City of Westminster were separate; Westminster being the seat of Government and Kings and the City (now the financial district) having a 'Lord Mayor'. The newer post of Mayor of London has duties regarding the whole metropolitan area (roads, buses, subway train system) whereas the older post of Lord Mayor is now largely honourific with authority only over the old City of London (they have their own police etc).

Nothing. Just get used it. At least he is honest he wont do anything about it.

That's not what he said though, I don't think there is anything wrong with what he said in the interview.

Sadiq Khan has said he believes the threat of terror attacks are “part and parcel of living in a big city” and encouraged Londoners to be vigilant to combat dangers.

The Mayor of London revealed he had a “sleepless night” after the recent bombing in New York, and said major cities around the world “have got to be prepared for these sorts of things” to happen when people least expect them.

“That means being vigilant, having a police force that is in touch with communities, it means the security services being ready, but it also means exchanging ideas and best practice”, Mr Khan told the Evening Standard shortly before a meeting with New York mayor Bill de Blasio.

“Nothing is more important to me than keeping Londoners safe,” Mr Khan said at the time. “I want to be reassured that every single agency and individual involved in protecting our city has the resources and expertise they need to respond in the event that London is attacked.”
As far as his words are concerned he's far from doing nothing about it.

                  Greeting to all WABers

Many islam apologists claim that most those suicide bombers are brainwashed young individuals who has no hope for future so they believe wrapping explosive around their belly, blowing themselves up in public (preferably where Westerners are present) and murdering as much as innocent people as possible would be a glorious and religious departure. Not to forget that after departure some sheik in Arabian peninsula and/or Persian Gulf gas station nations will shower their family with petrodollar cash. So if we provide education and economic means to them they will have hope for the future and stop blowing themselves up.

I wonder what these appeasers have to say about London (My favorite city in the world) attacker Khalid Masoud?
What motivates a British born 52 years old (absolutely not a brainwashed hopeless teenager) English teacher with 3 children living in comfortable house (pictures of his previous and present house are all over the media) decide to plow through people and murder as much as possible mostly Tourist whom he was aware of.
He did not decide to drive over innocent people to kill 5 and injure 40, he tried to kill as many as he could.

My heartfelt RIP to the fallen and sincere condolences to the loved ones left behind.

Salute, PC Keith Palmer. Present arm....

What is a 100 dead in a population of millions?

Immigration can be controlled. Spread of cultures and ideology cannot. Here your exploit/s are - immoral lifestyles, disrespect of gendor roles, collapse of community, class rebellion.

In the 50-60s, the leaders of the black population of US recognised the importance of Islam as a political ideology and it's use as a weapon against white christian america. Although, most black civilians of that era failed to absorb these teachings because they couldn't understand it(social politics), until now(globalisation). Blacks in the US have been embracing islam like never before. Globalisation did what malcolm and farrahkhan failed to do. Ali's eulogy - youtu.be/_fpiQJH8daA

While the UK is not as clearly racially segregated as the US, the exploits exist none the less.

                        Definition of part and parcel
: an essential or integral component. Stress was part and parcel of the job

Aren't you cherry picking his comment here? Look at the context and the intent. There is nothing wrong with acknowledging that big cities like London or NY are a big and juicy target for terrorists, and people living in these cities need to be more vigilant. As for his words vs his actions I'm not sure any amount of preparedness can protect a city from these kinds of lone wolf attacks. You can hardly ban cars.

Such as having a Bobby in every living room? With a fellow such as this guy that would have been the only way. Single actors are the worst as they are practically impossible to track ahead of time anywhere in the world.

There are architectural solutions to prevent pedestrians being treated as kegs.

But it is more important to invest in infrastructure that gets rid of homeless.
