That said it would be a mistake to say I or we are against all EU laws, because we are not.

You also make it sound like someone says that ALL European laws are bad. What's bad is that unellected body sends directives on what to do and what you may or may not do. More often than not, it has nothing to do with the economy. No such thing as a good tax - Churchill

We haven't said we want the same deal as a member. Don't know where you're getting that from.
But yes all I have read is that you Brexit people are surprised that, life/trade/... cannot be business as usual with the EU even though you are leaving. That Europe is ungrateful and not playing like you wanted/expected them to.
By the way I was trying to make you aware that we were conned in 1975....I guess that bit didn't resonate.
As for the threat of "How many cars do the Germans want to sell you?" The question should be "How many vehicles does the UK want to sell to europe?" Last year the UK produced 1.72m car and exported 1.35m of them. More than half of those cars went to the EU. The Germans would be more than happy to take a chunk of those EU sales

Calling the council unelected is like saying a parliament is undemocratic. Its members are elected by the electorate of their individual countries.Last edited by Doktor; 18 May 17,, 05:57.No such thing as a good tax - Churchill

Don't care what happened in 75. This is 42 years later. Its like asking for a divorce this year because my wife of 42 years wasn't a virgin when we got married. "She conned me" A judge would tll me that the time to make that argument has long passed.

The largest single actual British car-producing companies in Britain is McLaren. Which builds around 2,000 of those 1.72 million cars.Last edited by kato; 18 May 17,, 17:18.

Now they are trying to paint the EU's entirely predictable and rational response as 'punishment', and taking every opportunity to insult them.
