What alternatives are there?

Go nuclear. It is the most efficient energy system.

Why is the climate change getting worse?
Because countries are not part of the kyoto protocol.

Why are countries not part of the kyoto protocol?
The Kyoto protocol is the biggest bunch of garbage ever created. It has a goal of reducing coal burning greenhouse emissions. Although it excludes developing countries and China comes under this. So China is not part of the Kyoto protocol even though they have they have the most coal stations in the world. Also countries like India and Pakistan.

The Kyoto protocol is dead and something new needs to come in to stop this climate change before it is to late. We may also be going into a new ice age.

Not any more unfortunately. I grew up amongst those mountains and even climbed a few, but now I live in the north Island which is mostly a lot flatter (it's where the work is) but I'm trying to find a way of shifting back down there so I can give my kids the same things I had when I grew up. Having said that, the few mountains there are in the North Island are interesting. I was on this mountain (Ruapehu) when it did this

Note the skiers in the bottom of the photo

What's Mumbai like? That's what we used to call Bombay?

Mumbai is a concrete jungle. But few patches like national park is 'real' jungle with few leopards thrown in . There are few hillstations near like Matheran, Mahabaleshware & Igatpuri.

Talking of visiting India do visit lonelyplanet.com>India>feedbacks. U will come to know the challenges for a visitors to India.

An even simpler test is to apply the basic rules of scientific methodology to the question as opposed to emotional vomit.

1) Has the planet gotten warmer over the last 20 years or so? Yes.

2) Was the previous 20 year period notably cooler? Yes.

3) Is there historical and geologic evidence for variable periods of warming and cooling over the past 500 million years? Yes.

4) Is the current warming cycle outside of the norms? Possibly.

5) If it is outsde of the norm, do we know what could be causing it? No.

6) If we did know what was causing the extranormative heating, could we do anything to lower it appreciably? No.
