2x Laundry Detergent
I went to the grocery store (Rainbow Foods [Roundy's]) and swung by the aisle with laundry detergent to pick up one of those big bottles of Xtra... and were curiously smaller. Not a single bottle of old-school laundry detergent to be found anywhere, it was all 2x concentrated.
I wondered why, so I did a search on Google and came across a Wal-Mart PDF... apparently the entire country has converted to 2x detergent as a result of them. Quote:

Maybe it's the same thing but they're just giving you half the amount and charge you like usual...

Yeah, the fill line should probably be properly demarcated. This wasn't something the companies that make laundry detergent did because they wanted to, Wal-Mart (as seller of 25% of all laundry detergent in the US) forced their hand by refusing to sell "1x" detergents.
