Very promising as in it looks like it's "drillable". (Is that a word?). Seriously. 300 billion barrels, let alone 500 billion seems unfeasible. Saudi Arabia has approx. 260 billion. The reservoir would have to be incredibly "deep" to have such a massive reserve.

There are knowledgeable people in the industry who say that the recoverable amount of oil will turn out to be far, far higher than the USGS estimate.
The price of mineral acres all over the area is gong up,up,up.
