Headlines like for example "what can we do about global warming" are becoming more common. The accompanying articles still speak about the need to arrest man-made global warming, but are increasingly speaking about how we will adapt to it. It's interesting that the media has largely accepted an unproven hypothesis and is now "preparing" us to live with it. The grant community is winning the intellectual battle. The question is, how will it all turn out in the long run?

If the Sun continues its current inactive trend, I would assume that the overall climate will cool as well. When glaciers are eating ski lodges again in the 2020s or so the same old panicmongerers will then begin wailing about how humans are somehow responsible for that too. There will be no apologies, heck, there won't even be any acknowledgement of the utter mendacity of their previous positions.

The only thing to hope for is that they don't waste too much money on the way.

Well I'm glad someone appreciates some facts. These little bombshells are like the crane technique... "if do right, no can defense"

You may get your wish, but the sun will not likely get credit...

Next decade 'may see no warming'

The Earth's temperature may stay roughly the same for a decade, as natural climate cycles enter a cooling phase, scientists have predicted.

As with the unusually cold weather seen recently in much of the northern hemisphere - linked to La Nina conditions - he emphasises that even if the Kiel model proves correct, it is not an indication that the longer-term climate projections of the IPCC and many other institutions are wrong.
If we have a 20 year plateau, or cooling, it doesn't mean the IPCC is wrong? Somebody... Anybody... point to me one climate model that has a plateau or cooling trend anywhere in it's plotted projection. It doesn't exist.

I wonder if that section was an insert for Jo

If you didn't get that then see this little gem...
