Beijing, November 3: China has overtaken the United States and Japan to become the world's largest market of integrated circuits (IC) consumption in 2005, a report issued by IC Insights says.

The report states China covers about 20 per cent of the world's IC consumption market shares, which is up to 175.4 billion US dollars in total.

With rapid expansion of IC consumption market in China, as urging demand for electronic storages has become a salient feature of China's electronics consumption market.

In the near future, the country will become the major growth point of world's storage market, Xinhua news agency quoted an IC company official as saying.

Though with a huge potential, Chinese IC consumption market is still in pressing need of research and production capability enhancement.

The IC Insights report shows China's IC production volume accounts only for five per cent of the world's total in 2010, and only 15 per cent of the country's IC market products are homemade.

then they should have more and more reports coming from their own media about all the informations about their economies.
more open mindedness effectively translates to a better and more open media.. which surely doesnt seem to be the case. here.
can u please elaborate more on ur view here?
