Pakistani Connection Emerges in London Bombings.(What else can one Expect!!!!)

I wanted to Post earlier reagding how long it would be before pakistan again Proved itself as the Fountain-Head of Global Terrorism.

I did not want to Jump the Gun. But sure enough here it is:

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/8507035/

Earlier reports had quoted a witness on the bus who said he saw an “agitated” olive-skinned man rummaging in a backpack moments before the explosion.

The Leeds homes were searched and found to be unoccupied.

Several neighbors told NBC News that the area had been home to several young Pakistani men who had not been seen since before the bombings Thursday. The father of one man has been interviewed by police, NBC reported.

There is no Pakistani connection. A connection with people of Pakistani origin perhaps. But you are implying the government is involved or something.

But Ofcourse what do you expect.

First they would so no there is No pakistani connection.

Then they would say it is only Pakistani Origin.

Then they would say there is no Pakistani Govenment Support.

Well just wait for more facts to emerge and then see....

BTW have you ever wondered why is it that there is always a "pakistani Origin" cropping up everywhere.

First you had the Pakistani Origin guy from America and his father being arrested in America now this in UK.

Is being Disloyal to the Adopted Country built in the Psyche of a Pakistani?

I would like to point out that as per the BBC at least 3 of the suspects are of Pakistani origin, this is not to say that the Pak govt is involved but certainly the lack of effort in dismentling the terror network and terror training camps in the country do not help, they simply create more terrorists.

The suicide bomb plot hatched in Yorkshire

By Jason Bennetto and Ian Herbert
Published: 13 July 2005

The terrorists responsible for the Tube and bus attacks in London have been revealed as home-grown suicide bombers.

The four young British men, all thought to be of Pakistani origin, are believed to have blown themselves up with rucksack bombs on Thursday, killing at least 52 people.

Three of the bodies of the terrorists responsible for what was the first suicide bombing in western Europe have been identified, while a fourth is thought to be among the remains in the wreckage on the Piccadilly line between King's Cross and Russell Square.

Police raids at six homes in north Yorkshire yesterday also led to one arrest. But senior security sources warned last night that they suspected al-Qa'ida planners * bomb-makers and organisers * were still at large and further suicide bombings were likely. The four men, including one teenager, all from Leeds and Dewsbury in West Yorkshire, were not considered Islamic extremists and were not thought to have significant links with terrorism.

The realisation that British nationals are prepared to make suicide attacks has transformed the way the country will have to view security.

"What we considered normal has changed forever," said a senior security source.

Security measures at all public places will have to be rethought. Tough new security laws are also expected to be introduced to try to combat the threat.

Anti-terrorist officers raided houses in Leeds and Dewsbury where they found a "bomb factory" believed to belong to at least one of the terrorists.

Explosives were also found in a car at Luton railway station, which is thought to have been used by the bombers to drive from Leeds on Thursday.

Police searched Colenso Mount in Leeds, the home of Hasib Hussain, believed to be responsible for the bomb on the No 30 bus that blew up in Tavistock Square. They also raided Colwyn Road in Leeds, the home of Shahzad Tanweer, believed to be responsible for the Aldgate blast.

Searches also took place at the home of Naveed Fiaz in Stratford Street, Leeds, and Rashid Facha, in Lees Holm in Dewsbury.

It is understood that 19-year-old Hussain's driving licence and credit cards were found in the wreckage of the No 30 bus. The bus bomber is thought to have failed to get on a Northern line train so boarded a bus instead. For some reason he detonated his bomb nearly an hour after his fellow terrorists had exploded theirs.

Tanweer, age 23, the man believed to have been responsible for the Aldgate blast, was seen by police officers on CCTV footage. Scotland Yard said the footage of the four men at King's Cross station shows them with their rucksack bombs minutes before the attacks.

Tanweer and Hussain's houses were among six raided by West Yorkshire Police. The men are known to have been missing since last week. Tanweer, who was said by neighbours near his home in the Beeston area of Leeds, to have been a university graduate and keen local cricketer, had not been at home since last week, which had been a cause of concern for his father Mohammed, who runs a chip shop near the family home.

His friend, Azzy Mohammed, said: "We played cricket together and I could not imagine him doing anything to hurt anyone as he has a very strong family."

Hussain, from the Holbeck of Leeds, is understood to have been the subject of attempts at discipline by his parents after becoming difficult to control in his adolescence. But he became devoutly religious 18 months ago and is believed to have gone to London last week, since which time he has not been seen or contacted, despite the efforts of his older brother.

Detectives evacuated 500 homes before carrying out a controlled explosion in the Burley district of Leeds.

The breakthrough in the investigation came at 8pm on Monday when detectives found a CCTV picture of the four bombers at King's Cross station 20 minutes before they blew themselves up.

But a senior security source warned last night: "We have not got the plotters or planners. Al-Qa'ida methodology is to put someone into the country * they do the preparation and they are out the door."

He said the fear remained that whoever helped the four bombers has recruited and trained other British suicide attackers. "How many other clean skins are waiting in the wings?" he said.

Only one of the three identified suicide bombers had any known connection to al-Qa'ida suspects, and it was a very low level of association, according to security sources.

Hours after the Leeds raids, police evacuated Luton railway station and car park as they recovered two vehicles, one of which was later found to have explosives inside.

Deputy Assistant Commissioner Peter Clarke, head of Scotland Yard's anti-terrorist branch, said: "The investigation is moving at great speed.

"We are trying to establish the movements of the suspects in the run-up to last week's attack and specifically to establish whether they all died in the explosions."

Assistant Commissioner Andy Hayman, leading the police hunt, said the bombings were the work of "extremists and criminals".

Tony Blair issued a defiant statement saying: "Together, our modern, diverse and tolerant country will ensure the terrorists fail in their attempts to destroy the way of life we all share and value."

The final death toll from Thursday's attacks is expected to rise above 52, with police assigning family liaison officers to more than 70 families.

vicky007, I've noticed you have nothing but anti-pakistani threads started. I'm beginning to wonder why that is? In using examples: Is it because you had fallen for a green eyed Pakistani and had your heart broken? Because if thats not the case, can you please share it with us? I don't think the world affairs public cares about you and your hatred towards pakistanis; the main point is that over 50 people were killed, and over 700 injured. They could've been pakistani based, Iranian based, or even Korean based: they are nothing but terrorists and deserve to die. Don't use this as an example to hate on one's background. Every Terrorist is going to hell no matter what they believe in.

Thats why they're called suicide bombers. I guess the reason why those cowards blow themselves up is fear of the aftermath. They do not want to face the interrogations fearing they will give up all the information. And their so called "leaders" probably don't trust them enough to let them live, so they brain wash them into thinking that they are doing a good thing and will live another life or what not, whatever these terrorists believe in.

3 bombers were of Pakistani origin: London police

Police on Wednesday said at least three of the bombers involved in bombing the London transport system are believed to be British males of Pakistani origin who lived in West Yorkshire in Leeds.

The bus bomber is believed to be dead, and police said there was "strong forensic and other evidence" a second bomber died at Aldgate. Investigators are now trying to establish if the other two are alive or died in the explosions.

A relative of one of the suspects was arrested in West Yorkshire on Tuesday and was being brought to London to be quizzed by the anti-terrorist branch.

Six search warrants were served on Tuesday under the Terrorism Act on houses in and around Leeds.

"These included the home addresses of three of the four men," an officer said. "A detailed forensic examination will now follow and this is likely to take time to complete."

The investigation has already established that personal documents bearing the names of three of the four men were found close to three of the explosions.

Armed officers and army bomb disposal experts took part in the pre-dawn raids on the properties in the Leeds area. Materials seized during the operation have been taken away for examination.

At least one controlled explosion was carried out ahead of a raid on one of the properties.

Around 500 to 600 people were evacuated from the area close to the address in the Burley district of Leeds at around 11.30 am.

A neighbour said a 22-year-old man had lived at the house on Hyde Park Road with his family but had gone missing.

A house in Lees Holm, Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, was one of those surrounded by police.

Neighbours said an Asian couple lived there with a young baby daughter. It is believed that the baby was aged about eight or nine months.

A neighbour said the couple had not been there for more than a year. She said the man was aged 29, while his wife was several years younger. The couple originally came from Pakistan but had moved from Leeds.

Earlier, police cordoned off a white semi-detached house in Colwyn Road, a quiet residential street in the Beeston area of the city, and a terrace house in Strateford Street, around two minutes' walk from Colwyn Road. Material seized during the raids have been taken away for examination.

The CCTV images showed the four men suspected had boarded a Thames link train at Luton, carrying rucksacks.

Sir Iqbal Sacranie of the Muslim Council of Britain said they have received the latest news from the police with "anguish, shock and horror."

He said, "It appears our youth have been involved in last week's horrific bombings against innocent people.

"While the police investigation continues we reiterate our absolute commitment and resolve to helping the police bring to justice all involved in this crime of mass murder. Nothing in Islam can ever justify the evil actions of the bombers."
