These kuttey are way out of their league. The nerve of these Hindu terrorist organizations to even think that they could get away with burning an effigy of Sant Jarnail Singh Khalsa Bhindranwale anywhere in Punjab is their gravest error and will lead to their blood stains all over the sweet green fields of our Punjab.
Strong and strict action should and will be taken against these Hindu terrorists groups who have migrated to and mushroomed in Punjab over the past couple of years, most notably the Shiv Sena (Hindustan).
What they did at Babri Masjid and in Gujjurat will backlash so hard against Hindus if they even stir one incident in Punjab.
Bravo for Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar)

SAD (A) men assemble to thwart Sena bid

Fatehgarh Sahib, June 11
Taking a serious note of the plan of the Shiv Sena and other Hindu fundamentalist organisations to burn the effigies of Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale and others in front of Gurdwara Fatehgarh Sahib, hundreds of SAD (A) activists led by Mr Ravinder Singh Khalsa, SGPC member, today gathered at Gurdwara Fatehgarh Sahib to thwart the attempt of these organisations. The workers of SAD (A) kept a close watch on the gurdwaras around Fatehgarh Sahib particularly at the historic gurdwara. The district administration had made elaborate security arrangements to avoid any untoward incident. Police and civil officials were deputed in large number to keep a close watch on the situation. Mr Ranjit Singh Cheema, official spokesman of SAD (A), appreciated the efforts of administration in making arrangements to avoid a clash.
Mr Ranjit Singh Cheema, official spokesman in a press note alleged that these organisations were interfering in Sikh affairs at the behest of Mr Parkash Singh Badal and Bibi Jagir Kaur. The party alleged that these two leaders were bent on destroying Sikh principles and to please their bosses in the BJP they were allowing training of RSS and Shiv Sena activists in gurdwaras.
The party warned Hindu organisations not to interfere in Sikh affairs and said Sant Bhindranwale was a great martyr of Sikhs and any insult towards him would not be tolerated.
Meanwhile, a handful of Shiv Sena Hindustan activists burnt the effigy of Babbar Khalsa International at Sirhind city. Vaid Amarjit Sharma, senior vice-president of state unit of the organisation in a press note said, despite arrest and security arrangements, activist of the Shiv Sena burnt the effigy of the terrorist organisation.

What makes you so sure that you are within your league?...
If you turn the green fields of Punjab red with blood, that will be Punjabi/Sikh blood, and you expect the Sikhs to respect you for that?

You are getting hyper, people are free to migrate anywhere in India, who are you to prevent their constitutional rights.

Make up your mind, are you a Sikh or a Muslim??

Punjab ke pajji,
Please read the last line of the article you posted. The journalist too stated that the effigy of a terrrorist was burnt. Even your article refers to Bhindranwale as a terrorist. so why blame us.

Mann reiterates demand for separate Sikh homeland
Press Trust of India
Amritsar, June 12, 2005
http://www.hindustantimes.com/news/1...0900010001.htm
Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD-Amritsar) chief Simranjit Mann, charged with sedition and promoting enmity among the masses on the ground of religion, on Saturday said he would fight for a separate homeland for Sikhs.
Talking to the media persons here, he described the police action as "null and void" for registering a case of sedition against him on the complaint of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) on June 8.
Mann held his statement "genuine" and demanded separate homeland for Sikhs.
He had on June six in front of the Akal Takht (highest Sikh Temporal Seat) demanded separate homeland for Sikhs while brandishing naked swords.
He said brandishing of naked swords is a part of Sikh religion and to raise the demand of Separate Sikh State is his fundamental right under freedom of speech.
Mann claimed he was not hiding from the police.
"It would be wrong to say that I have gone underground after the registration of sedition case against me. I am very much over ground... But I would never go to police for surrender, they can come forward to take any action against me".

Any seperatist would be arrested, thank god this one is too! I'm sure the orders came personally from Prime Minister Manmoham Singh.

Confirmation that Punjab is under colonial status where there is no political freedom and where human rights violations are carried out with impunity. Indian and Indians do not respect human rights nor do they honour international covenants and treaties which that they have been signatories to. Agreements that guarantee freedom of speech and the right of self-determination as an internationally recognized legal and human right.

DC takes Mann to Ludhiana jail
Tribune News Service
http://www.tribuneindia.com/2005/20050616/punjab1.htm
Ropar, June 15
The Deputy Commissioner, Ropar, today came to the rescue of Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar), chief Simranjit Singh Mann, when he was allegedly tortured and was taken to an unknown place for interrogation by Punjab police personnel this evening at 5.30 pm. After getting a communication from Mr Mann, that he feared a threat to life as he was abused and tortured by police personnel while being taken from one place to another for interrogation, Deputy Commissioner, Ropar, H.I.S Garewal, reached the spot and took him in his official car from Ropar to Central Jail, Ludhiana.
Talking to The Tribune over phone on the way to Ludhiana along with Mr Mann, the Deputy Commissioner, said that he was taking Mr Mann to the Central Jail, Ludhiana, as he had received a complaint of torture by police personnel. Now I have ordered a magisterial inquiry into the incident.
Mr Mann said over phone that from 10.30 am to 3.30 pm I was kept in sub-jail, Ropar. Thereafter police personnel were taking me to Central Jail, Ludhiana. When the police reached near Neelon Bridge, a senior police officer allegedly abused me and also hit me. Thereafter, the police brought me back to the Police Lines, Ropar, Mr Mann said.
“It was my luck that the Deputy Commissioner, Ropar, had received my complaints and he rescued me. Otherwise I would have been killed. Mr Mann also alleged that he was subjected to inhuman treatment at Ropar Sub-Jail where he was brought from Anandpur Sahib in the morning. “I was interrogated by police personnel of the CIA staff despite the fact that I was in judicial custody. I am a political prisoner and not provided with facilities I deserve, he alleged.”
“I had no food since morning. I was given inhuman treatment and refused to answer any of the questions asked during interrogation,” he added.
Earlier Ropar sub-jail, became centre of activity till Mr Mann remained there. A large number of police personnel were deployed outside the jail to control the workers of Mr Mann. Mr Mann complained of chest pain in the afternoon. Thereafter a team of doctors from the Civil Hospital including Dr J.P.S Sanga, Dr Navtej Singh, spent more than an hour examining Mr Mann. The SAD (Amritsar) workers remained outside the jail since morning seeking media attention by raising slogans. They also made an attempt to stop Mr Mann’s vehicle when he was taken out from the jail in the evening.

Mann getting inhuman treatment, alleges counsel
Tribune News Service
http://www.tribuneindia.com/2005/20050616/punjab1.htm#2
Chandigarh, June 15
In a memorandum submitted to the Punjab Governor, the legal adviser of the Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar), Mr Ranjan Lakhanpal, today claimed that party president Simranjit Singh Mann was being given inhuman treatment.
He claimed that Mr Mann was neither provided dinner, nor breakfast. Even water was not offered to him. Though Mr Mann was sent to judicial custody, he was taken to Ropar’s CIA staff and interrogated by a Deputy Superintendent of Police and other officers.
Mr Lakhanpal asserted that person once remanded to judicial custody could not be taken to the police station and interrogated. As such, the police action was absolutely illegal. It called for legal action against the erring officers. The party’s political secretary, Inderpreet Singh Sandhu, said the party would challenge the police action in the court of law.

Crackdown on SAD (A) activists
Our Correspondent
http://www.tribuneindia.com/2005/200...punjab1.htm#13
Amritsar, June 15
The police swooped on SAD (Amritsar) activists in the early hours today and arrested its state general secretary Gurjatinder Singh Bhikiwind and member Sarabjit Bhuller on the charges of sedition .
Activists of the Dal Khalsa were also reportedly picked up by the local police from different areas. Dr Manjinder Singh Jandi, was allegedly rounded up from his village 10 km from Hoshiarpur, while Amrik Singh was picked up from near Ajnala, Iqbal Singh from his residence near Chowk Mehta and Arjun Singh from Baba Bakala in the district. Raids were also conducted on other hideouts, including on the residence of officiating president of the Dal Khalsa Harcharanjit Singh Dhami in Hoshiarpur. Speaking to The Tribune, Mr Dhami said his house was also raided but he was elsewhere. He said they were being victimised and they had not committed any seditious activity.
The SSP, Mr R.P.S. Brar, admitted that Mr Gurjatinder Bhikiwind was arrested from Bhikiwind while Sarabjit was picked up from the Rose estate, near here. He said the police had obtained their remand till June 17. He denied the arrest of Dal Khalsa activists. However, when the name of Mr Dhami was mentioned the SSP wanted to know his present whereabouts.
Meanwhile the SAD(A) national general secretary,
Mr Ram Singh, today released the copies of the resolutions passed at its Parliamentary Affairs Committee (PAC) meeting in Ludhiana. He condemned the arrests terming them discriminatory. “While Dr Pravin Togadia despite his ‘venomous’ outpourings against minorities goes scot-free. Minorities were being victimised “ he said .
Meanwhile, two brothers Jagjit Singh and Haminder Pal Singh who had enthusiastically posed for photographs in the march on the eve of the anniversary of Operation Bluestar, panicked and sought to disassociate themselves from the marchers after the police raided their residence in Sultanwind today.
