No such thing called "Tibetan people choose to anti Han", it's not in large scale.

First hand eye witness, a single Chinese reporter cross Tibet after the riot: all photos, with little text description
a Chinese reporter traveling in Tibet after the riot

Quite surprising, Tibetan villages fly more Chinese flags than Han villages. Oh actually, Han villages don't do that.

From the photo you can tell, Tibetans are lot richer than Indians.

Get off this right now! You have absolutely no idea about the state of wealth within India. Do not, I repeat, do not post things you know absolutely nothing about.

And the flag thing? Fear would have a lot to do with it.

I see them all driving tractors, something really surprised me.

I know, but considering the fuel consumption in high mountain area, and low yield of corps.

It's really not worth it. They have too much money.

Which means that Indian farmers are making more money from their crops than Tibetans!

You really don't think things through, do you?

Stop! Think this through right now. Why would a guy living off gov't handouts be richer than a guy who works for it?

Guys, please stopping talking about India and making any comparison between India and Tibet. Tibet is the issue should be solved by the joint effort of Han and Tibetan, nothing to do with Indian.

I agree, Ying, but the best way to dispel a false claim is to prove it is invalid.

Regarding the government assistance, I think it is one of the Tibet policies Chinese should reconsider.

On one hand, the reality is the gap between Tibet and the central areas of China is too huge. Tibetan, mostly young generation of Tibetan, have serious concern on the huge gap and expect Tibet may be prospective and rich as same as the other areas of China.

On the other hand, no mature industry in Tibet except tour. If we just account on the self-development of Tibet, it will take a century for Tibetan to achieve what they already gotten from Han. Personally, I admire Tibetan and do think they are our brothers and Han is obligated to help Tibetan. The question is, how to help?

Cut the handout.

Old Chinese proverb. Give a man a fish, he has a good meal. Teach him how to fish, and he eats for a lifetime.

I agree dharamshala is a very free place.

And, the nagas have stopped killing off their neighbors, collecting their heads and displaying the heads as trophies. A Naga was a good friend of mine in college.
Hey, now thats a lot of change in 50 years.

How about the "teach" will jeopardize the unique Tibetan culture?

You have to make it voluntary. If the man doesn't want to fish, teaching how to fish is useless.
