No such thing called "Tibetan people choose to anti Han", it's not in large scale.
First hand eye witness, a single Chinese reporter cross Tibet after the riot: all photos, with little text description a Chinese reporter traveling in Tibet after the riot Quite surprising, Tibetan villages fly more Chinese flags than Han villages. Oh actually, Han villages don't do that. From the photo you can tell, Tibetans are lot richer than Indians. Last edited by Hu Jintao : 04-11-2008 at 00:01 AM. |

And the flag thing? Fear would have a lot to do with it.

Regarding the government assistance, I think it is one of the Tibet policies Chinese should reconsider.
On one hand, the reality is the gap between Tibet and the central areas of China is too huge. Tibetan, mostly young generation of Tibetan, have serious concern on the huge gap and expect Tibet may be prospective and rich as same as the other areas of China. On the other hand, no mature industry in Tibet except tour. If we just account on the self-development of Tibet, it will take a century for Tibetan to achieve what they already gotten from Han. Personally, I admire Tibetan and do think they are our brothers and Han is obligated to help Tibetan. The question is, how to help? |
