Depends when the timeline changes. For example: Goering is finished and humiliated by the real 1944-5 by his failure to stop bombing raids. However, in an alternate timeline where his Luftwaffe sweep all before them, he would have better odds. Depends how Germany wins the war - and we're talking reaaal kool-aid stuff here - but I imagine it would be a four-horse race between Himmler (who controls the SS), Goebbels and his propaganda machine, Bormann and his party-administrative mind, and perhaps the traditional military aristocrats?

With my rather witty remark I was trying to point out that Hitler's replacement would probably be someone who wasn't a VIP during the war.
Ten years in a peace time Nazi Germany/€urope would have been a long time. Who knows how €urope would have been divided up Geographically in the scenario presented. Then there would have been other complication's, The Holocaust, all of those concentration camp's, and the victims now that would have caused an unstable international situation, that would have had to be dealt with.
Tony.
