Immigration: Yay or Nay

Are you for or against immigration? Will this issue play a part on how you decide on who to vote for?

Just want to hear some thoughts!

All illegals should be sent home - including those with anchor babies...

I won't vote for any amnesty candidate.

I'm for immigration. I'm against trespassers and those who call them "immigrants."

I subscribe to the "high wall, wide gate" school of thought. I want more immigrants, but I want them to follow the rules in getting here.

And anyone who wants to turn America into wherever they came from should go away.

Welcome to your new home but fvck up and your out, hell if your kids screw up your gone!

Give them a chance, but just one depending on what you did of course. Violent crime should be an automatic deport. Unpaid parking tickets or and the like you can stay, they shouldn't get kicked out for stupid crap we all do once in awhile.

Tankie, England is not that bad. I think the problem is not being able to kick out the idiots and I also don't think first generation born should get automatic citizenship thus getting rid of what someone called the baby anchor.

Immigration is a privilege, not a right. If one wants to immigrate to another country they must have allegiance to the new country, they must follow all the rules and regulations of the new country and most of all, they must realize that they must do what it takes to fit in and not expect their new country to bend over backwards for them.

Yes.

I'm starting to feel as though we should even bring legal immigration to a trickle at this point in time. What we really need to do at this time is work on our own country and not play bed n' breakfast to an enormous flow of immigrants.

The fact that people think that illegals should be granted amnesty baffles me! For what reason would pat someone on the back for breaking a law and syphoning millions of dollars out of our tax money?

I think the sad fact is that we're going to have to just accept a large portion of who's here already. Whether you want to call that amnesty or alien invasion or copping out or reality, the fact remains that there are many illegals who are firmly entrenched in our communities and economies. I think that the following

a) enforce laws designed to punish employERS for hiring illegals in the first place

b) get serious about border control and naturalization control

c) find and incarcerate the real scumbags

d) make a "soft landing" for the good ones I described above involving a fine and a delay (but NOT automatic denial) in citizenship

is the only realistic combination of actions for a solution. Call it what you will, but I call it realism.

The States should not grant them welfare and/or medicaid.

The Schools should not admit no illegals into the public school system.

If employers should not hire them to make them return home, the State should do the same by denying them benefits they are not entitled to.

There is nothing wrong with Immigration.

It should be legal.

Illegals can never be accepted, no matter which country is affected.

Say that in California and you'll get 1/2 million of them marching, waving Mexican flags, and call you racist.
