YouTube - UK; Saudi visit.

Take this with a grain of salt; while the Coldstream Guards do play the Imperial March, and generally other music as well, the complete lack of corroboration by other news sources suggests it is deceptive editing on Channel 4's part.

No thanks. We did it for over a century. It cost us lives and money. Did we get any thanks? No. Gave up shouldering the load alone when the US became a superpower, but we're still doing (at least) our fair share. Suppose we always shall. I can't see any takers lining up either! There are too many who are swift to complain loud and long, but they make sure they don't put their hands near their wallets or their necks in danger.

Actually nobody asked the US or Britain to do the job.
Nationalistic pride aside, the real reason US/UK did it in the last couple of centuries was because it was advantageous for them to do so. They loved influencing world events...if it worked it in their favor.
I think the rest of the world would have managed just fine without the US or the UK doing "the job". The only difference being that the two countries would have been a lot less affluent than they are today.

You've never visited some certain African countries, have you?

& are you that dead-set against Isreal?

I remember my grandafthers telling me that there were some who were basically saying the same thing about American involvement in WWII. Thank goodness they weren't heeded then either.

I do not think the WORLD (not just the US/ UK) would have been "just fine" if we both had just sat on the sidelines then or now.

The world would have been just fine. It always is. No matter what happens, how bad things go, the world turns out fine in the end.

No I have not. But I doubt if most US-ians or Brits have either.
Neither do these African countries rank high up in either US or UK's list of priorities.

WWII didnt happen just because God or anti-God decided to send his apostle to earth. Its seeds were already laid in the earlier great war which itself resulted from the power-games being played out between the then world power and wanna-be powers seeking to spread their influence...and thats my point really.

What then are your interests? More importantly, what are your intentions?
