They're less than enamored with me when I offer support for the war in the middle east or suggest that AGW is less than a settled issue , as NZ is according to liberal mythology packed to the brim with greenies. The fact that we're really a bunch of educated red necks is somewhat of a culture shock for them.

Hmmm...that's funny, they sound exactly like a bunch of fuccking left-wing American liberals: Heads shoved up their hind end, racist, condescending, arrogantly assuming (emphasis on ASS) priccks
Yep, all the hallmarks of the American liberal.
Guess you're not making any of that up then eh?

there were culture clashes between New Zealand workers used to handling multiple jobs on small-budget films and experienced Hollywood crews used to the structure of a blockbuster project. One of the Americans on the production team was overheard describing the locals as "Mexicans with cell phones". The next day, dozens of local workers arrived on the set with fresh T-shirts bearing the phrase.

To be fair, we do have more than our fair share with greenies though.
And we do get a hell of a lot of nice Americans through as well.

Well, I don't want to argue about global warming. I couldn't change anybody's mind.

Because you have no scientific argument, just an emotional one.

I agree AG,maybe I should be the one applying for dual citizenship. Not that they would let me in but there are worse things to be known as than a Kiwi.I should know, they've been used to describe me by certain other un-named members "cough..Lukins...cough" of the board.

I didn't have any argument at all, dalem. But now I'm curious - what would convince you you're wrong about that?
