The Bald Eagle - Appropriate National Symbol or not?

There was some discusion about the majesty of the Bald Eagle on another thread, and it reminded my of an article I read which argued against the Bald Eagle. This isn't the article I read. It has a lot more arguments. However, this is a start. Any thoughts?
