Truth & Justice
http://www.petitiononline.com/84geno/petition.html -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To: British Government, EU & United Nations We, the undersigned, state that since 1984, some 180,000 Sikhs (1) have been killed by India’s security forces. We believe that this amounts to genocide on the Sikh community, under the 1948 UN Genocide Convention. Other communities such as the Kashmiris, Nagas, Dalits, Muslims and Assamese have suffered similarly in India, over the same period. · We recall the tragic and devastating events of June 1984 in Amritsar, Panjab and of November 1984 in New Delhi. India's whole scale military crackdown in Panjab in June 1984, resulted in the deaths of tens of thousands of Sikh civilians during the Indian Army attack on the Golden Temple complex and the subsequent draconian sweep through Panjab. · In November 1984, thousands of Sikh civilians in New Delhi and other major cities, were systematically hunted down and murdered in their homes and on the streets; with the open complicity of the Indian police. · Over the last 20 years, India has imposed a regime of gruesome repression and murder on the Sikh population in Panjab. Tens of thousands of Sikh civilians have been killed in a combination of staged 'armed encounters' and 'disappearances'. · Amnesty International(2) and Human Rights Watch (3)have together produced over twenty separate reports, documenting widespread human rights atrocities in Panjab by India's police and army. Torture, arbitrary incarceration, and custodial deaths, are reported as routine and widespread. India has refused to open up to an international scrutiny of these incidents. It has barred Amnesty International, since 1978; and has refused to permit access to the UN's Special Rapporteur on Torture and Disappearances. · Many human rights activists, such as Jaswant Singh Khalra (4), have been killed in police custody or 'disappeared' in sinister circumstances. Human rights should be enjoyed by all people at all times. We believe that awareness of these issues will help the struggle to end grave abuses of the fundamental human rights in Panjab and elsewhere in India. We come from all walks of life, with widely different political and religious views, united by our determination to ensure everyone enjoys basic human rights. We want to give hope to the people of Panjab that justice will be done. At the same time, we strongly and unequivocally condemn the killings of other innocents, including Hindus, that took place during the same period. Acts like these were used to further communalise the situation and impose further draconian measures. We call upon the British Government and European Union to bear pressure on the Government of India to prosecute those who have committed these crimes against humanity. We also call upon the United Nations to establish and supervise in the Panjab a full and independent Commission for Truth & Justice in order to document the atrocities that have been committed over the past 20 years. Notes (1) Politics of Genocide (1995) by Inderjit Singh Jaijee of the Movement against State Repression, p 41 quoting three human rights groups and three Advocates Generals who researched the killings for the period 1984-1994. (2) Break the Cycle of Impunity and Torture in Punjab (2003), Amnesty International. (3)Dead Silence: The Legacy of Abuses in Punjab (1994), Physicians for Human Rights. (4) A Mockery of Justice – The case concerning the ‘disappearance’ of human rightrs defender Jaswant Singh Khalra severely undermined, Amnesty International (1998 Sincerely, The Undersigned http://www.petitiononline.com/84geno/petition.html |

Appended below is a Punjabi news report, with photographs,
per courtesy of Canadian-Punjabi newspaper Charhadi Kala, about the September 23, 2004 protest by Sikh Americans, outside the United Nation's building in New York, against India's obscene ambition of sneaking into a permanent UN Security Council seat which ignores the squalor & misery of hundreds of millions of Indians For more details about India's UN ambitions please click at: > http://www.khalistan-affairs.org/Mai...kc09222004.htm < ![]() WHY THIS PROTEST BY SIKHS AGAINST INDIA? Eversince Imperial Britain quit South Asia in 1947, after World War II, after hastily handing over the instruments of state power to a fascist Upper caste Hindu minority, this Indian ruling elite, in various combinations, has refused to recognize the right of any minority, (particularly monotheistic Christians, Sikhs and Muslims) to pursue happiness or live as an equal. No matter what the party label (BJP, Congress et al.,) the ruling Hindu elite's covert and overt anti-minority state-supervised agenda remains the same. Recently hundreds of poor lower caste Hindu/Christian women who had been victims of state-sponsored rape in Manipur state, for years, carried our a unique 'nude' protest in public - urging the officialdom to rape them - which made headlines. Earlier in 1984, in June and November of that year , the Sikh minority saw its holy shrines destroyed and thousands of innocent men, women and children murdered in a twin state-sponsored and supervised pogroms. A similar state-sponsored pogrom was repeated in 2002 against a weak, unarmed and defenceless Muslim minority in Gujarat - two thousand men, women and children were murdered and over one hundred thousand were made homeless. In all three cases no one has been found guilty! During the post partition 57-years rule of this minority (dominated by the Nehru dynasty for nearly forty years) every government has: a) Refused to prosecute those responsible for the bloody 1984 Sikh pogroms, in fact many of the culprits, like Jagdish Tytler, are serving as ministers. b) Have continued the policy of persecution of Christians in Nagaland, Manipur & other Eastern Indian Christian-majority states as well as the rest of India. c) Refused to grant Amnesty International & other Human Rights organizations access into Indian Occupied Punjab, Kashmir, Gujarat, Nagaland and Manipur. d) Enacted draconian Laws like TADA, POTA etc., which have been used exclusively against minorities resulting in arbiterary arrests, torture, death and indefinine incarceration for hundreds of Sikhs, Christians and Muslims. e) Continued the illegal and unjust siphoning of water-short Punjab's river waters (gratis) to non-riparian Hindu-majority states of Rajasthan and Haryana. Instead of addressing the law and order problems and taking care of the basic needs of a billion people - latrines & clean drinking and medicine for the deprived unwashed 79.9% of the population, education for the four hundred million illiterate Indians, medicine for the raging AIDS epidemic and other diseaeses, jobs for hundreds of millions of unemployed - the Indian rulers are on a billions of US dollars arms-buying binge. They are also wasting state resources by trying to bribe/con their way into a permanent seat in the UN Security Council which 'success' - of which there is very little chance - will only be used to stifle India's minorities, like the freedom-loving Sikhs and Christian Nagas further. We Sikhs having experienced, for over half a century, the misrule and tyranny of the Dynastic Brahmin-caste-dominated Indian rulers, want an egalitarian, democratic buffer state of Khalistan stretching from the Jumna River on the East to the Pakistan border on the West, Kashmir on the North and China on the North East which will act as a bridge of peace and commerce between South Asia and the oil/gas of the seven Stans of Central Asia. Sher,
Come to Punjab and see if they agree with you. Papaji, you must be what the Khalsas say Papa i.e. the Lala of Sikhs ie. the business community. Unfortunately, none in Punjab agree with you.\ As your name is Sher (Tiger). How come it is so. Is Your father a genuine Tiger? If your Mother was a Tigress, then obviously, you are not a human but an animal, who should be in the jungle od the Zoo. Where are you from papaji. Tere Maa, Sher se chudwayan, jisse tu paida hua? Admin nahin mila? Itna buri shakal? Ya gadha tere Ma ko choda?

We all know what happened in 1984. So repeating the same is not going to do any good for you or your cause.
So far, the state of Punjab is peaceful for atleast 10 years now, so the people of Punjab had rejected the cause for a seperate nation. This is from 2004 elections, Electors and Voters Total Electors 25652789 Polling Stations 26250 Polling %age 66.02 66% of people voted to select the Indian govt!! Come back to reality, I guess some of the asylum seekers in Punjab are caught in a time warp. |

PRESS RELEASE
June 29, 2004 857.205.3849 415.259.7214 TWENTY YEARS OF IMPUNITY The November 1984 Pogroms of Sikhs in India (San Francisco, CA, June 29, 2004) ENSAAF— a new U.S.-based organization launched to enforce human rights and fight impunity in India – releases its first report Twenty Years of Impunity: The November 1984 Pogroms of Sikhs in India. This in-depth 150-page report, available at http://www.ensaaf.org/20years.html, analyzes thousands of pages of previously unavailable affidavits, government records and arguments submitted to the 1985 Misra Commission, established to examine the Sikh Massacres in Delhi, Kanpur, and Bokaro. The report reveals the systematic and organized manner in which state institutions, such as the Delhi Police, and Congress (I) officials perpetrated mass murder in November 1984 and later justified the violence in inquiry proceedings. After a thorough discussion of administrative and judicial impunity, the report applies the international law of genocide and crimes against humanity to the pogroms, relating the massacres with international understandings of gross violations of human rights. “This is an age when countries as diverse as Mexico, Peru, Cambodia and Ethiopia, among others, are digging into violent eras of their histories to set records straight and name those in power who allowed human rights abuses to occur or, worse, ordered them. In two decades, there has been no similar movement for a day of reckoning in India,” writes retired New York Times reporter, and eyewitness to the massacres, Barbara Crossette in her foreword to the report. Given the recent appointment of key perpetrators to ministerial positions in the Indian government, the report encourages survivors and witnesses to take private initiatives to help end impunity. “Unless the voices of survivors are heard and recorded, history will eclipse their narratives and the silence of impunity will prevail. We hope survivors, including those in the diaspora, will lead us and other concerned individuals in organizing and initiating documentation projects and spearheading the campaign for justice,” said Jaskaran Kaur, executive director of ENSAAF. The report describes and summarizes key failings in the Indian state’s enforcement of the survivors’ rights to knowledge, justice and reparation. ENSAAF (www.ensaaf.org) works with survivors to engage in advocacy and outreach, documents violations, and educates the public about human rights violations in India. ENSAAF’s programs include Community Advocacy, Legal Advocacy, United Nations, Education and Human Rights, and Media and Human Rights. ENSAAF, which means justice in many South Asian languages, acts to implement the international rights to knowledge, justice and reparation. ______________________________________________ Amnesty International Reports: Punjab: Break the cycle of torture and impunity in Punjab. - January 03 Asia Day of the "Disappeared" A Mockery of Justice: The case concerning the "disappearance" of human rights defender Jaswant S. Sher,
Get some post from indepedent sources please. I can also start a organisation and then post a whole lot of things. But they necessarily need not be true. All those sites you have posted are from organisations who are fleecing the host nations and making suckers of them so that you can earn your living. There is no doubt that you can make money from selling **** too, especially if you are a Bhapa or Papa. Nopne can beat your business sense. Your top Khalistan boss, Chauhan has returned to India seeking pardon. Why? Because he had made enough money and he wanted to live the life in luxury since $1 = Rs 50, i.e. 50 times more. As I said you can't beat a Bhapa or Papa when it comes to make a fast buck! ![]() Sher, who consorted with who so that you came into being, if indeed you are a Tiger; though there is no forest in the Punjab or any Tiger. There was none ever. Therefore, it is odd that you are calling yourself a Tiger from Punjab?[b] Pudhi Onde. Last edited by Ray : 10-01-2004 at 18:07 PM. |
