Zarqawi registered as Indian resident
Zarqawi registered as Lucknow resident, probe ordered
NEW DELHI, June 15 (APP) - A probe has been ordered into how Al Qaeda terrorist Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, who was killed in a US air strike in Iraq last week, was allegedly certified as a resident of the state capital of Lucknow, the Press Trust of India (PTI) reported Thursday. Utar Pradesh Chief Secretary N.C. Bajpai ordered an inquiry into how the Al Qaeda Iraq unit chief was reportedly issued a domicile certificate by the Lucknow district administration. He took serious note of reports that the terrorist was registered in the name of "Ama Zarqawi" and made eligible for unemployment doles, PTI said. The reports alleged that the certificate, which is issued after due verification, was given without following the set process. Bajpai directed the principal secretary concerned and the district administration to initiate necessary disciplinary action against those found responsible for the lapse, the report said. |

hey... while an odd terrorist may have got a fake residency certificate in India (which an investigation has been launched for) Pakistan produces tens of thousands of extremists and radicals each year.
Almost every terrorist attack by Islamic terrorists these days has some connection with Pakistan |

Why shud it really be in international politics?? Can there be only one Al-Zaraqwi in the whole world, Namesake? Is there only one osama in the whole world?
Its getting a fake domicile certificate with a fake name, nothing more. With tens of millions of muslims in Uttar Pradesh alone, I guess its normal to think it as a muslim name. There is another thread I posted under US politics, where an American used a fake id to get in to Dept of Home land security building. It implies nothing, it may give you cheap thrills to post, but nothing to discuss. There are 100's of reports which says the Actual most wanted Osama is in Pakistan. Rather than crooning over a fake Zaraqwi, when will you worry about Osama and Alqueida in Pakistan??

The problem is not about having a "muslim" name as such, its just that Al-Zaraqwi, is a very Arab, rather than Persian name, most of the "muslim" names that you refer to, are Persian in origin.

And a regular acountant type person in a village or town council is a maulvi so he knows the difference between an arab and persian name
Its not touchy, the main issue is getting hold of the terrorists in the world, not to get hold of the people who get fake certificates in their names. So as I said, Pakistan has real Zaraqwi's and Osama's so its better turn your zeal and enthusiasm over there ![]() |
