Benazir calls PPP team to London

ISLAMABAD: Benazir Bhutto, the former prime minister and chairperson of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), has invited members of the PPP parliamentary board to London to finalise candidates for the forthcoming general election in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. The PPP will field 41 candidates in the election and 123 people have so far applied for party tickets. Ishaq Zafar, the PPP AJK president, has dispatched letters to members of the parliamentary board. The party leadership has decided not to issue tickets to those who have violated party discipline. The mainstream political parties are gearing up to give Musharraf and his Kings Coalition of motley groups a real hard time.

Islamabad Airport closed on Saturday, Sunday

Lahore: Islamabad Airport will remain closed on Saturday and Sunday between 12.30pm to 4.30pm, said the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). The PIA flights that have been cancelled due to the airport’s closure on Saturday are PK 451-452 for Islamabad – Skardu - Islamabad, PK 251-252 for Islamabad – Kabul - Islamabad, PK 390-391 for Lahore – Islamabad - Lahore, PK 688-689 for Lahore - Islamabad - Lahore and PK 369 for Islamabad - Karachi. The flights PK 451-452 for Islamabad - Skardu - Islamabad, PK 386-387 for Lahore - Islamabad - Lahore, PK 622-623 for Lahore - Islamabad - Lahore and PK 369 for Islamabad - Karachi scheduled for Sunday and have been cancelled due to the airport’s closure.

The time of arrival and departure for PK 211 and 212 for Dubai – Islamabad - Dubai has been delayed. PK 212 will arrive at 5.00pm hours with a two and a half hour delay and the departure time of PK 211 has been rescheduled at 6.15pm with a delay of two hours. PR
A nation's capital's airport being lcosed down for two days is most unusual!

Something is up!

A coup has been averted?

I believe there has been some shakeup inthe Army and PAF.

PML-N slams govt for failing to protect people:

The government has failed to protect life and property and is making excuses to blame rival sectarian groups, said PML-N provincial president Sardar Zulfikar Ali Khan Khosa on Thursday. Addressing a workers convention in Muzaffargarh, he said PML-N leaders Saad Rafiq and Zaeem Siddiqui were being tried by an anti-terrorism court for participating in the Namoos-e-Risalat rally while Javed Hashmi was in jail for exposing the generals. He said Mian Nawaz Sharif did not yield to US pressure and carried out nuclear tests in 1998.

He said the party’s reorganisation in Muzaffargrah would be completed in the first week of June. Begum Zakia Shahnawaz said Mian Nawaz Sharif was the only leader who could face military dictators.

Why do you feel that NS is no power.

And if he isn't then it is an interesting signature that you have "Ich liebe dich NS".

You must analyse the situation carefully and rationally.

First of all a NS/BB coalition is not possible cause their politics so far has been against each other. If by chance they form a government there are going to be tussle for power and that weak point will be used by army.

Secondly BB and Asif Zardari have around $1bn dollars of assets most of which is stolen Pakistani money and BB is not going to give away that money easily. NS has a similar image among public as a looter. Even if they are elected, they will be kicked out of office within six months

If that be Mush's fate as per Pakistani democratic norms, then to the gallows he shall go!
