As a point of interest, here's what happened a couple of weeks ago when the owner lent his lambo to his girlfriend to go to the supermarket. Instead of turning right she floored it and went straight ahead


the tree in this photo was the offending article

they are so you don't ding them on the car next to you when you open them. Those cars are really wide, so it'd be hard to open the doors without that feature, especially in euro parking spots.

When I was 10 years old and saw Back To The Future in the theater, I thought the gull-wing doors on that DeLorean were the coolest thing in the whole wide world....especially when they made that really neat neat electronic whirring noise when you opened them.
It was a few years later that I learned about Foley and sound editing
