Naw, really, TopHat. I know I claim to have a USMC grudge...but I jest, really. I have nothing but respect and admiration as I have now gotten to at least see what they go through up close. I don't hold against the man that he was a Marine, in fact, though he does not, I find it one of his most admirable traits. I do think, though, that it brought out his more combative nature.

Just goes to show the military is not for everyone I suppose.




Not saying that I like their dress blues any better, though.

Yeah, we were like two kids rushing from exhibit to exhibit, not pausing long enough to really soak in the one we were at.

My dad and I visited the sub probably right around the time they were drawing up the plans for the restoration back in the late 90s.
I was slightly shell-shocked at the poor state of the sub - inside and out - and the condition of the overall exhibit. I had not been there since grade school and a lot of happy childhood memories took a beating that day.
They've since been restored
